Delightful 2 bedroomed air conditioned apartment with good size balcony with views of the Mar Menor, set in small complex with good size communal swimming pool in small village named Los Nietos, a small fishing village on the shores of the Mar Menor. The Med beaches are 10 minutes drive away, the nearest being the Calblanque nature reserve which is an unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty. Ideal setting for a relaxing stress free holiday. La Manga Golf club with its 3 courses, 28 tennis courts and health spa 5 minute drive away. 6 other top class golf courses withing 30 minute drive. The nearest airport is Murcia (San Javier) 20 minute drive away, or Alicante airpot 70 minute drive. Car hire is recommended to get full benefit of area. There is a train service from Los Nietos to the main city of Cartaghena, which is a very realxing 35 minute journey, cost approx. 2.10 euros return. Cartaghena is an old Roman City full of interest. Los Nietos has several restaurants.

Coast/Beach
Los Nietos is a small fishing village with a lovely harbour, from where you can enjoy boat trips etc. The beach is 1 minute walk from the apartment, and there are too numerous beaches to mention all withing short driving distance and many very secluded.
Golf
La Manga golf club with it's 3 courses, 28 tennis courts and health spa is 5 minutes drive away. Also 6 other well adapted golf course within 30 minute drive, the lastest three only opened in 2006 and these 15 minute drive.
Special interest holidays
The world health organisation has stated that this region of La Mabga is one of the top healthiest regions on the planet. Within 15 minute drive you could be enjoying a mud bath with healing qualities recommended by health workers.
Travel
Nearest airport is Murcia (San Javier) 20 minute drive from apartment. Alicante airpoert is a 70 minute drive away. Car hire is recommended to get the full benefit of this area, although there is a train service from Los Nietos to the main city of Cartaghena.
Distances
The main city of Cartagena (an old Romas City ) full od enchanting streets and a superb port area where cruise liners and pleasure boats make it their port of call. Los Nietos has several restaurants, both English and Spanish, whilst the neighbouring village of Los Belones a 5 minute drive away has a variety of restaurants including Italian, Chinese and Indian.

On booking a deposit of 20% is required and the balance paid 6 weeks before arrival or pay by instalments. There is no extra to pay.

About the owner
I am retired and my wife and I have been married for 42 years. We purchased the property 8 years ago and spend a lot of time there just relaxing and enjoying the lazy laid back life style.
We have invested a lot of time and love into this property and we believe that going there is like transferring yourself from one home to another but with the advantage of the weather and lifestyle. Hence we are particular to whom we rent out, and so far we have been extremely fortunate and have a lot of return renters.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
As mentioned above this area is relatively unspoilt and still what I refer to as an old fashioned Spanish village. Over the years there have been a number of restaurants in the surrounding area all serving excellent quality food. This area is for total relaxation and 'chilling out'. When I purchased there were only 5 golf resorts within a 30 minute drive now there are approx 13. Nothing is better than after having a swim in the good size pool than returning to the balcony sipping a large gin and tonic and watching the view over The Mar Menor and all the boats on it.
