Normal arrival and departure is Saturday but this is flexible.

La Bodega (6 Bedrooms, Sleeps 12)

6 bedrooms (4 doubles, 2 twins). Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with shower over bath. Kitchen (open plan in dining room) with electric fan cooker and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge /freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster and electric kettle. Large dining room can seat twenty people with doors opening onto a walled patio with fountain. Barbecue and covered area for outside dining. Large galleried sitting area with open fire and pool table. Fully fitted bar with large under counter fridge for drinks. Television, DVD and CD players.

Los Olivos (4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8)

4 bedrooms (2 doubles, 2 twins). 1 twin and 1 double have own bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. 1 twin and 1 double have shower room with basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with gas cooker and hob. Microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster and electric kettle. Sitting/dining room with open fire, Television, DVD & CD players. Dining area to seat 8 people. Outside covered dining area with barbecue.

Notes on accommodation
The houses may be rented separately or together which then gives accommodation for a party of up to 20 people.
Both houses have full central heating for the cooler months.
Cots and highchairs are available.
All bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided.
Houses are cleaned once a week, extra maid service can be provided at additional cost.
No pets are allowed.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is limited, there is one ground floor bedroom in Los Olivos but all the others are on the first floor of each house.

Outside
The whole estate is fenced and there is adequate parking for cars within the grounds. There is a swimming pool (13 x 8 meters) which is not heated and therefore normally in use from May to September. There is an outside table tennis table and swings and seesaw for children. Extensive gardens with seating areas.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are those of Valencia which is just about an hours drive from the house. The beaches of Valencia form part of the Costa del Azahar and there are many beaches and seaside towns to the north and South of the City.

Golf
'El Bosque' is the nearest 18 hole course about 50 minutes drive. 'El Escorpión' also 18 holes, at Betera, about 90 minutes and 'El Saler' a championship links course just south of Valencia about 90 minutes.

Special interest holidays
We organise wine tastings both at our our own winery and other local bodegas. We offer to show guests how to cook paellas.

Travel
A car is essential due to our rural location.
The nearest airport is Valencia, about an hours drive. Alicante is about two hours drive and Madrid, two and a half hours by car.
Driving from the Northern seaports of Bilbao or Santander via Madrid takes between six & seven hours.

Distances
The house is 90kms. from Valencia, Spain's third city with excellent shopping, museums and art galleries. The stunning Ciudad de las Artes y Las Ciencias which is a science museum, palace of the Arts and a superb aquarium is well worth a visit. Music lovers can visit the Palau de la Música, home to the Valencia Orchestra with many international visiting artists and the newly opened Opera House.

Further details
The nearest village, about 2km. is Los Isidros which has a restaurant and basic shoppping for essential food items.
Requena, a town of historical interest with good shopping, banks and supermarkets is 20kms. away, a 15 minute drive. Requena also has plenty of restaurants and bars and the old town has interesting caves which are open to visitors.
Visits can be arranged to the beautiful valley of the River Cabriel where it is possible to go walking, canoeing and white water rafting. The valley is about half an hour away and guests can be picked up in Land Rovers with guides.
The motor racing circuit at Cheste is 45 minutes drive and is home to the Spanish Moto GP at the end of October. Guests can also have advanced driving lessons at the circuit.
Just outside Requena is the aerodrome at El Rebollar and the aero club organise flights in light aircraft around the area and can also give tuition up to PPL level.

Booking notes
Booking enquiries by telephone or by e-mail. Guests are then sent booking conditions and a booking form to return making a transfer for 25% of the total cost. The remaining 75% is to be paid eight weeks before arrival date.
