Situated in the attractive coastal town of Torre del Mar, on the less commercialised eastern part of the Costa del Sol, this is a recently refurbished apartment with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday and offering good value for money. Plenty of local amenities including an attractive 4km long promenade with restaurants serving locally caught fish. Golf courses and a water park nearby, plus many other places of interest to visit; 22km to Nerja, 100km to Granada, 180km to Gibraltar, 48km from Malaga airport, many local bus services, tram service to Velez-Malaga and commercial centre, car hire would be useful but not essential. Good selection of shops within walking distance. Finished to a high standard, other features include satellite TV, DVD/VCR, radio/tape/CD player, ironing facilities, washing machine, furnished balcony with great sea views, air conditioning/heating included, linen (not beach towels) included. Guests will find the apartment 'hotel clean'.

Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday but this is flexible bearing in mind many flights are cheaper midweek.

Notes on accommodation
Not suitable for children as the apartment sleeps 2 adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-sized fridge-freezer, electric fan oven and grill, 4 ring gas hob with automatic electronic ignition and automatic safety shut-off feature, washing machine, electric kettle and toaster. We provide a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and fold-away clothes dryer, which can be used on the balcony, there is also a large open-air drying area on the roof of the building with conventional washing lines. There is UK satellite TV, a DVD player and video cassette recorder and a stereo system consisting of radio, tape player and CD player which plays proprietary CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs recorded with both audio tracks and MP3 files, plus MP3 player connection lead. Air conditioning units are provided in both the bedroom and the lounge, which can either cool or heat. Operating instructions are supplied for all appliances. The pool is open 15 June to 15 September, the beach is just over the road.
Accessibility
The apartment is suitable for people with mobility problems and has a special wheelchair lift to the lobby where there are 2 lifts. Torre del Mar itself is very flat and there are no steps from the apartment to the beach or the town/restaurants.
Outside
Private balcony with table and chairs, wonderful sea views, sun blinds (it is southwest facing) and an over head light for the evening. Shared community pool open from 15 June - 15 September.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is only a few meters from the wide sandy beach and the balcony has sea views.
Golf
Baviera Golf Course is nearby.
Travel
Malaga Airport 48 kilometers, Granada airport 100 kilometers, Velez-Malaga (motorway that runs along the coast) 3 kilometers, tram link to Velez-Malaga and large shopping centre 1 kilometer, bus terminal 500m with comprehensive routes, taxi rank 500m. Car hire is useful but not essential.

Malaga city 35 kilometers, Nerja 22 kilometers, Granada 100 kilometers, Gibraltar 180 kilometers, Lake Vinuela 20 kilometers, white inland villages scattered around from 12 to 50 kilometers.
Further details
Torre del Mar has many international restaurants to choose from, all of which are reasonably priced, menu of the day is around €7. You can choose from traditional Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Argentinian, Mexican, French and Moroccan, plus 'chiringuitos' serving fresh fish. Also, there are plenty of bars and cafes to suit all tastes and ice cream parlours 'heladerias' along the seafront serving enormous (and delicious) ice cream sundaes. A variety of water sports are available on the beach and others at nearby Lake Vinuela, also a new golf course about 5km away. Torre del Mar has excellent road links and is therefore a very good starting point for those wishing to explore the region. There are plenty of traditional Spanish 'white villages' within easy reach and beautiful countryside with stunning views. Although a full day out, Gibraltar is well worth a visit for duty free shopping as well as sightseeing. We provide a House Book with details of all local activities.
Booking notes
We ask for a deposit of £50 on booking and then for the balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival at the apartment.
Most of our guests find that the easiest payment method is by bank transfer using online banking. Also, we can accept cheques and we are able to accept payments by PayPal. You should be aware that using Paypal may incur some charges.
