The villa is in the popular and secure Sanlucar Club de Campo, quiet with sea views. Overlooking an 18 hole golf course (residents benefit from very advantageous green fees). Sanlucar is located in the far south of Spain on the Atlantic on the Costa de la Luz (coast of light). North Africa is not far away. It has great sea food, fine wine, lovely beaches, a warm climate and Europe's largest biggest wildlife on its doorstep (The Donana Park). The town has an old quarter (barrio alto) and a relatively newer part (barrio bajo) that comprises much of the lower part. Sanlucar is famous for its seafood and has many bars and restaurants by the waterfront. It also produces a unique sherry - Manzanilla. The town is lively both day and night and has very friendly atmosphere, not overcrowded with tourists. There are sailing, canoeing and windsurfing clubs, all of which provide lessons. There are also many sandy beaches along the coast. Horse riding is also a major feature of the area.

Changeover day

Notes on accommodation
Off street covered parking for 2 cars. This is a child friendly house, garden is fenced and secured. There is 24 hours security on the site. The room on the ground floor could be used for storage of luggage, surf equipment and golf clubs etc.

Outside
The garden is beautiful with lovely flowers, palm tree and a lemon tree. It is completely private and secluded. The swimming pool is private (8m x 5m). Sufficient outdoor furniture: 8 chairs 2 tables to enjoy all meals alfresco.

Coast/Beach
The villa is 15 min walk to the beach. Sanlucar has 2 beaches with fine grained golden sands. There are sailing, canoeing and windsurfing clubs, all of which provide lessons. There are also many sandy beaches and secluded coves along the coastline. Horse riding is also a major feature of the area and there are a number of local centres, many of which offer riding lessons. Sanlucar's beach is also famous for the historic horse racing in August. This has been taking place since the 19th Century.

Golf
The golf club is 5 mins walk. The villa overlooks a golf course (residents benefit from very advantageous green fees .It is a 18 hole par 72 golf (6500m) course in the complex. The club house is 5 mins walk from the house. The golf course has fine views over the Guadalquivir River and the Donana National Park on the opposite bank of the river. There are also several other good golf courses in the area including Montecastillo: one of the finest courses in Spain which has hosted the Volvo Masters tournament 5 times.

Travel
Jerez airport 30km. Ryanair flies there twice a day, Iberia, Spanair and Thomas Cook. Seville airport 105km, Ryanair, Iberia, BA. Seville rail station 103km. Very cheap car hire is available (advice on request). Car is recommended but not essential. A local bus service runs every half hour connecting Sanlucar Club de Campo to the centre of Sanlucar and to other beach areas.

Distances
Cadiz 45 mins drive. Jerez 25 mins drive. Seville 1 hour drive. Pueblos Blanco 25 mins drive. There are various supermarkets 5 min drive.

Further details
There are various Sherry and Brandy bodegas (all of them offer guided tours). There are also sites of historical interest, cinema, casino, Aqua Park, go-carting and bowling alley. This area is famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and local sailing school. It is also popular for fishing and boats can be chartered. The bull fighting season is July and August.

The Doñana National Park which is Europe's largest wetlands, wildlife park is famous for the variety of species of birds. There is a twice daily boat trip to the park from the pier on the Bajo de Guia in Sanlucar. You can also explore the park in a safari jeep or on horseback.
