Part of the house is over 250 years old and was restored with care keeping most of its original beams and fireplaces. Traditional methods and materials were used throughout giving the house great authentic charm. It is situated in the top part of the village allowing spectacular views over the Alpujarras mountains, the Sierra Nevada and the surrounding valley and hills which are covered with orange, olive and pine trees. The guests can also enjoy the use of the sitting room, dining room (both with beams and fireplaces), a "Mexican/Moroccan Patio" with a small pool (the Dip) and a large roof terrace with sensational views. The house is fully heated and for those with mobility difficulties there is a bedroom on the ground floor with direct access from the street and on to the dining room and patio. Beds will be made and the rooms and bathrooms cleaned every day. Sheet and towels will be changed every 3/4 days. All linen and beddings are made of natural fibers. |
Notes on accommodation
For safety reasons, due to the numerous stairs, the roof near the terrace and the pool, the owner regrets that she cannot have children under 12 to stay. Most pets are welcome.
Accessibility
A double bedroom is situated on the ground floor with a double door access from the street into a hall and then a double door into the bedroom. The shower room is accessed through double doors. All handles are at a height for people in a wheelchair. The shower is open and contains special taps, a seat and bars. The basin is held by a bracket on the wall and has special taps. A support bar is alongside the WC.
Outside
Guests have access to the patio and its small private pool ('the Dip') which has 3 tables for drinks or breakfast al fresco.
The roof terrace can seat up to 20 people with tables, chairs and banquettes, to admire the sun rising or setting.
