Coast/Beach
3km to the nearest beach. This part of the Galician coastline offers miles of beaches and picturesque fishing villages. Furthermore, there are open-air swimming pools, surf schools (one run by Australians) and great beach bars in the summer.
Travel
Vieiro is equidistant to the three airports of: Santiago de Compostela, Aviles (Asturias) and La Coruña. 150 kilometres to each and a driving time of approximately two hours. Car hire is essential. The ferry to and from Santander is a five hour drive. Viveiro is one of the stops on the Transcantabrico train journey.
The Feve - narrow gauge railway - departs daily to Ferrol and Oviedo.
