Malaga airport is within a 30 minute drive while Gibraltar airport is approx 1 hour away. Car hire is not essential but would be useful for exploring the area. Buses and taxis within walking distance.

Further details
Apart from the beautiful sandy beaches and immaculate golf courses, the area has plenty more to offer. The old town of Marbella with its narrow white washed streets, old churches and picturesque squares (in particular, the well known Plaza de Los Naranjos which is surrounded by orange trees) is close by. Ronda, Granada and Cordoba are all within easy reach and the many local towns hold regular street markets as well as fiestas and carnivals throughout the year. Those wishing to explore inland can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and traditional Spanish villages and for the more adventurous, the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada are only two hours drive away. Tennis, go-karting, water sports and boat trips (including to Morocco and dolphin watching) are all available locally.
