This lovely villa is built to classic Spanish style round a small internal courtyard and has many special features: Tosca stone arches, an imposing wooden staircase, beamed ceilings, a wrought iron balcony feature and wood burning stove. The courtyard and bedroom ceiling fans cool the villa during hot summer months. At the end of a cul-de-sac in the quiet, prestigious area of Tosalet, the Villa is detached, with large tropical garden, lawns, palms and attractive flower beds. Javea's sandy beach is only 1km (3 mins drive) away and there are restaurants and supermarkets within a 10 minute walk. The attractive fishing port and old town are 4km away and 2 excellent golf courses are close by. For outdoor living there is ample space, a shady Naya with easy table and chairs, sun terraces around the villa and pool, plus brick barbecue and dining area with flood lighting to dine under the stars. Kitchen: Large well equipped fitted kitchen on ground floor overlooking internal courtyard with gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Utility Room: Large utility room with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer (for winter months).
Living Rooms: Large open plan lounge and dining room area with patio doors to pretty internal courtyard. Lounge has ample comfortable seating, satellite TV (Sky, BBC, ITV) video/DVD, radio/CD player. Wood burning fireplace. Central heating for winter months only.
Other: Villa entrance is across the shaded Naya which has a sofa, table and chairs. Good view from naya across lawn to pool. Ground floor of villa is built around an attractive internal courtyard, 1st floor balcony overlooks courtyard.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen, blankets and towels are supplied (please bring your own beach/pool towels), weekly changeover and refresher clean. Duvets are provided for the winter months.

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa is cool, quiet, spacious and suitable for all, especially for a young family who may be accompanied by grandparents. It was designed facing the valley to allow the summer breeze to flow through the courtyard and cool the villa together with the fans in all bedrooms. The many seating areas provide some peace for those who want to quietly read a book! The large flat lawns are excellent for young children to play. Cots and/or high chairs are available on request. Excellent local property management service meets you at the villa, provides cleaning and emergency service. Sorry no single sex groups.

Outside
The impressive tropical gardens (1,250 sq.m.) are flat, south facing and virtually on one level. It has a large private pool 11m x 5m depth 0.5m x 2m has Roman steps for young children to paddle safely. And lawns and hedges, palms, flowering shrubs and colorful borders. For outdoor living there is a pleasant covered south facing naya and a large tiled sun terrace area with shower, a hardwood table and 4 chairs, plastic table and 6 chairs, sun umbrella and 6 sun beds. We enjoy dining under the stars and/or a glass of wine on the Naya in the evening. There is a brick BBQ with worktop and sink. There is floodlighting around the villa, pool and garden. A drying area, double carport and gated entrance.

Coast/Beach
1km away is the wide sandy Arenal beach, a major centre of activity by day and by night. Water skiing, jet skiing, scuba diving, pedalos, windsurfing, sailing, boat hire for fishing or exploring the coves along the coast, are all on offer.
There are many excellent restaurants, bars, and night clubs on the streets behind the Arenal as well as the market selling arts and crafts on the promenade and a small fun fair.

Golf
The La Sella Resort course is a 10 minute drive away. This 18 hole championship golf course offers a well balanced course for all levels of players. Set in the scenic environment of Montgo Valley, this 18 hole course is lined with almond, orange and lemon trees. Booking in advance is required. The resort also has a lovely club house and good restaurant. Other courses in the area include the 9 hole course at Javea Golf Club, which is a 15 minute drive and the 18 hole course at the Club de Golf Oliva Nova 30 minutes drive away.

A public bus service runs from the border of our estate past the Arenal beach and Port up to Javea Old Town.

Distances
There are many and varied opportunities to explore along the coast. The pretty villages of Moraira, Altea and Calpe are within a short drive.

Inland from Javea, the countryside is mountainous with many breathtaking views and castles. There are bull fights every week in Ondara, at one of Spain's oldest bull rings.

Valencia is easy to reach for a day trip and has many fascinating sites including an outstanding science museum.

Further details
Javea has something to offer everyone, beaches and coves, cultural and historical sites to visit and wonderful walks. The town is divided into three distinct sections: there is the old town, with its narrow cobbled streets and its monuments of Spanish history and culture. The town has a rich culinary tradition which has been entirely preserved and can be sampled in the form of 'Tapas' in most bars in town. Paella originated from this region, Valencia. The Port area is still a working fishing port and is a delightful place to visit with its mixture of fish markets and, seafront bars and cafes. Every year, Javea's beaches are awarded the blue flag of the European Union. The bustling 'Arenal' beach offers fine sand and shallow waters nice play areas for children, restaurants, cafes, shops and ample parking facilities.
DAYS OUT: Within only 25 mins drive there are 3 theme parks in Benidorm: Terra Mitica Theme Park, Aqualandia Water Park with super slides and Mundomar (dolphins, seals etc.). The new Science & Oceanographic (5000 different fish) parks at Valencia is worth a trip. The terrain of the Montgo & Jallon Valleys provide the perfect environment for walking. The Fonts d'Agar waterfalls are a 30 min drive away. The hilltop town of Guadalest a scenic hour away. Ibiza & Majorca are both a short ferry ride away with crossings leaving Denia harbour daily. During the summer there are wonderful fiestas to see.
SCUBA DIVING: We use Amigos del Mar a BSAC/ PDA/ Padi diving school run by a Scottish National Diving Instructor. There is lots to see underwater in nearby bays: octopus, moray eels, schoals of fish and coral. Non divers can enjoy a day on the boat snorkelling and sun bathing.
TENNIS: We use Lencorna Tennis Club where the English instructor/owner organsies group courses for locals and holiday makers.
CYCLING: Javea Bikes makes cycling along the beach and country roads easy.

Booking notes
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to your departure and is non-refundable. A refundable surety deposit of £200 is required, this is held against breakages, damage, key loss or excessive cleaning.
