Cortijo El Pino is a large, well positioned, recently modernised and comfortably furnished farmhouse set around a great vine-covered traditional Andalusian courtyard. It is set in its own olive grove (with fruit trees) within the Adelantado community of olive growers and only 1km from the main road which links the coast to the Subbetica National Park. Being only 7km from the ancient town of Iznajar with its 32km lake and an hour from the coast, Malaga and Granada, you are ideally situated to combine relaxing on your own terraces and by the pool with exploring what the area has to offer. There are shops, bars and a restaurant within 1.5km which can be accessed by road, or cross country on a footpath. The beach at Iznajar has a restaurant bar and is big enough and empty enough to fly kites on. The pool's solar heating means that it is usually comfortable to swim from May to October.

Outside
Good access and parking for 6 cars. The large central courtyard (patio Andaluz) from which all parts of the house areaccessed is completely enclosed with entrance through a stable door. A porch stretches across one end to provide shade and shelter. A large table sits under the vine for very private dining. The private, solar heated 8x4.5m pool with ample terrace (some with cane shading) which is adjacent the house is fully fenced with a lockable gate and has fabulous views. The pool has its own Casita with drinks fridge and glasses. Outside shower. There is a vine-covered west terrace outside courtyard between house and pool. Separate aromatic garden, sitting area with swing seat and distant views. The various sitting areas contain a variety of tables, chairs, parasol, sun loungers and gas BBQ.
Coast/Beach
There is a large sandy beach on Lake Iznajar 8km away where not motorised water sports are permitted and where you may swim and fly kites. Fishing is permitted with a licence. The Costa del Sol with its many and varied beaches is an hour away.
Golf
Antequera, 40 mins away, has a new championship course to compete with the famous courses on the coast (1½ hour away) and there is a club with a good course at Granada 1 hour where you can play during the week. The Costa del Sol courses are only 1 hour away.
Skiing
The Sol y Nieve in the Sierra Nevada near Granada is just over 1½ hour away. It is well serviced with a variety of runs, which are kept in good shape by snow cannons if necessary.

Travel
Good airports are Malaga (1 hour) and Granada (45 mins). Car hire is affordable and available at either airport and is essential to make the most of your stay.

Further details
There is a bar 1km away, with another bar restaurant, petrol station and shop 1.5km by road. Markets, post office and banks at Iznajar. Market and some shops at Villanueva de Tapia (4km). Supermarkets at Rute, Archidona, loads of good restaurants including the Bobadilla all within 20 mins. Walking, cycling and bird watching are inviting in the immediate vicinity. Accessible for a day outing: Tivoli World Theme park at Malaga; Aqualand at Torremolinos; Riding at Salinas 15 mins with day treks, tennis at Loja 30 mins. Numerous museums and galleries in the larger towns and cities. The Alhambra at Granada and the Mezquita at Cordoba and many of the traditional Andalucian white towns; La Subbetica and El Torcal National Parks, flamingos on the famous salt lakes.
