There are a lot of possibilities for entertainment around La Puebla de Castro, such as walking, biking, mountaineering, rafting, canyoning, canoeing, swimming etc. About 60 kms north of La Puebla there are two national parks, Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido en Parque Nacional d'Aigües Tortes I Sant Maurici. A three hour drive eastbound will take you to Barcelona. You can also spend either a relaxed or an adventurous holiday together with your children. La Puebla and its surroundings offer many possiblities for your children, such as playgrounds, swimming in the lake, etc. For those amongst you who enjoy hiking there are various challenging routes starting in La Puebla. We rent out apartments for a minimum of one week. The changeover day is Saturday. Arrival time is after 4 pm and departure time before 11 am.

Apartment Esera (sleeps 4) - bedroom 1: double bed (140), bedroom 2: battery bed. Apartment. Isabena (sleeps 6.) - bedroom 1: double bed, bedroom 2: single beds. Sofabed (140) in living room. The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with toilet, shower and washbasin. The kitchens are well equipped with electric cooker (2 or 3), fridge/freezer, kitchen utensils, water boiler etc. The living rooms have TV and sofas. Both apartments have their own private balcony. Linen and bedclothes are provided. Normally we don't provide fresh towels every day, unless you should desire otherwise. |

Notes on accommodation
During your stay (in an apartment or room) you can order breakfast. This is composed of freshly baked croissants, buns and caracola con pasas, tea or coffee, orange juice and boiled eggs. Please order your breakfast before 8pm and it will be served in your apartment, in the common/breakfast room or on the terrace.
Outside
On the second floor you can relax and have a drink or enjoy the fantastic views from our roof terrace.
The village has a municipal swimming pool, open in July and August (entrance price: 2.40 euros per person/per day). Very close by are a tennis court and a soccer court.
Coast/Beach
About a 2.5 hour drive from La Puebla de Castro takes you to
the Costa Brava.
Travel
By plane:
Barcelona: 2.5 hours
Gerona: 3.5 hours
Zaragoza: 1.5 hours
By train: trains stop in Lerida (1 hour from La Puebla) and in Monzon (40 minutes)
By bus: bus connection from Barcelona to Barbastro (30 minutes from La Puebla).
It is recommendable to hire a car, once you come by plane. All the aforementioned airports have rental agencies.

Further details
In the village are 2 little shops, a pub, a swimming pool (open in July and August), a tennis court and a playground for children. You can have access to the internet in our reception and pets are welcome.
Restaurants, bars, supermarkets and banks can be found in Graus, which is a 10 minute drive away.
