Set within rolling mountains and olive groves, the house benefits from an enclosed courtyard which affords complete privacy for dining or sunbathing. Immediately outside the courtyard there is a large enclosed patio area which accommodates the swimming pool. Panoramic views surround the pool area, over the hills and small mountain with the church on top whose cross is lit at night which provides a useful beacon when walking back from the bar. Situated in a central location on a good road network for the coast or the cultural centres of Seville, Granada, or Cordoba. The house lies some 5kms from the Moorish town of Iznajar which is set by the Lake of Andalucia.

Changeover day
We can be flexible as to arrival days to accommodate. cheaper weekday flights. The property will not be available before 3pm on the date of arrival and must be vacated by 11 am on the date of departure.

Outside
Enclosed paved courtyard with outdoor furniture, barbecue and chimenea, leading to enclosed large patio and private pool (8m x 4m). Olive groves where there is ample space for parking.
Coast/Beach
There are many beach resorts within the hour from the property, by car. Nerja, Benelmadena, Toremolinas, Puerto Banus and Marbella to name a few and Gibraltar is approx. 2 hours away. We tend to make a full day of a coastal visit, eating there in the evening and then returning to the peace and tranquility of the countryside.
Golf
Golf course situated in Antequera some 30km from house. Full 18 hole course with facilities and available for day visitors.
Travel
Malaga and Granada airports are both equidistant from the property, approx 55km from the house. Both airports have major road networks to the house and are within easy directions. Car hire is recommended and is available at cheap rates from the airports.
Distances
The village is less than 5 minutes walk and has an excellent bar/restaurant with an English menu and a small local supermarket for basic supplies. The town of Iznajar with Moorish castle and church is situated on the large lake of Andalucia and is a 10 minute drive. There are banking facilities and local shopping with a weekly local markets. The towns of Archidona and Antequera are some 20 minutes away and have large supermarkets and shopping mall.
Further details
Horse riding, walking, fishing and cycling are all catered for in the locality, there is a large variety of restaurants in the immediate vacinity and nearby towns. The local restaurant is reasonably priced and has a varied menu. The owner is welcoming and can speak a little English. The cultural centres of Granada, Seville and Cordoba are full of historical and architectural interest and are well worth a visit. The natural parklands of the Sierra Nevadas and Torcal provide breathtaking scenery. There is a sandy beach and a bar on the lake at Iznajar.
Booking notes
Booking is directly through the owners by email or a deposit of £50 per week is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance plus a security bond of £100 is payable 14 days before the commencement of the stay and the bond will be refunded within 14 days from the date of vacation providing the property is left in a satisfactory condition.
