The highlight or 'wow factor' if you like, is the fabulous uninterrupted 180 degree view of the ocean, visable from the living room, master bedroom and of course the balcony which is very comfortably furnished with teak table and chairs and deckchairs for alfresco holiday living. Located at the base of the Atlanterra hillside over-looking North Africa to the south and the Cape of Trafalgar to the West. Enjoy the sunset sipping a glass of Rioja. I know of no better apartment for the perfect holiday.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday during the high season, but can be flexible at other times.

Living Rooms: The very comfortable and newly furnished living/dining room will seat 6 and is equipped with a TV, DVD and Hi-Fi system. There is a selection of very up todate DVDs and CDs for your use, and an ever expanding library of books to read.

Bedlinen and towels are provided and changed on a weekly basis (beach towels are not provided). A welcome pack of groceries will also be waiting for you.

Outside
Within the complex there are two pools, one large enough for lengths and the other a lagoon pool (open for the summer season). There is also a small childrens play pool. Loungers are provide around the pool in the summer season.

Coast/Beach
The apartment sits right on the beach.

Golf
Golf is available at the nearby Montenmedio Country Club (open to non-members), a 20 minute drive away or you could drive further west to Chiclana where there are several courses all open to the public.

Travel
You have a choice of three airports -
Jerez which is about 1 1/4 hours away(approx.90kms).
Gibraltar the same distance and Malaga which takes about 2 hours (I would suggest that it be avoided in the height of the summer season).
Car hire is essential.

Distances
Zahara village is 2km away, a 2 minute drive or a 30 minute walk along the beach. Barbate is the nearest town with a largish supermarket. The hilltop town of Vejer a 'pueblo blanco', a must for visitors with it's winding, shady streets, fabulous views and choice of restaurants and bars, is a 20 minute drive away. Cadiz and Jerez both about an hours drive away.

Further details
There is a very good little supermarket at the end of our road, selling delicious freshly baked bread each morning. A daily market in Zahara itself sells freshly caught fish and fruit and vegetables. Tarifa to the east is a mecca for anyone for an interest in kite-surfing or windsurfing. Outside the old town walls there are more surf shops than anywhere than I have ever seen, so if you have teenagers lock up your wallet!
Trips to Tangiers are also available from Tarifa, so practice your bartering skills before you venture there, it is a quick 30 minute crossing.
