Nearest sandy beach is the beautiful Montgo Bay approx 10 minutes walk. There are many lovely coves and beaches along the coast of L'Escala. There is a blue train that will take you from one beach to another. You have a choice of a beach with all types of watersport or a quiet beach for just relaxing and sun bathing and walking along the surf.

There are 8 Golf courses within a hours drive of L'Escala.
Skiing
Nearest ski station is 1 hour 30 mins drive - Valter 2000.
Travel
Girona airport approx 40 mins drive. Barcelona airport approx 1½ - 2 hours drive. Perpignan (France) approx 1 hour.

There are many many places of historical and cultural interest in the area ie Figueres, Cadaquez, Ampurias (Roman Ruins) within L'Escala, Isles de Medes, Banyoles, Garrotxa Volcanic Region, Historical towns of Pals, Besalu, Peralada, La Bisbal (ceramic town). Natural wetland Park - Aiguamolls. L'Escala is a great base for all types of holidays, whether it is sunbathing, snorkeling, diving, sailing, windsurfing, walking, golfing, birdwatching, touring, eating and drinking or just simply relaxing.
