Situated in the beautiful mountain retreat of Benahavis, only a 200m stroll to the 11th century whitewashed Moorish village, famed for it's 20 or more high class restaurants and bars that bring the pueblo to life, is this bright and spacious town house with a south east facing sun drenched patio. Lazy days can be spent at the superb village lido comprising adult & toddler pools & bar/restaurant. Entry is free. This typically Andalucian setting in only a 10 mins drive to lively Puerto Banus, playground to the rich, passing several beaches along the way, the nearest being just a 5 mins trip, and chic Marbella town 15-20 mins. Golfers will be pleased to learn that 12 of the Costa Del Sol's top courses are within a 10-12 minutes drive, 5 only 5 minutes.

Kitchen: Comprises of large fridge/freezer, oven, hob and extractor. dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, cups, glasses, iron and ironing board. Glazed sliding patio doors to rear terrace.
Living Rooms: Bright and spacious lounge dining room with glazed sliding patio doors to front and rear terraces. Dining table seats 6. Double sofa bed. Satellite TV (don't forget your UK card). Internet access.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are provided and changed mid stay for 2 week bookings along with a clean. Beach towels are not provided.

 

Notes on accommodation
The property is fully air conditioned and instruction manuals are available. The system will provide heat. Children are welcome at the accommodation however there are no stair gates. Cot, highchair, simple folding buggy and kids plastic cutlery. No smoking in the house. Groceries can be purchased for you by prior arrangement. A cab to Puerto Banus is €12-€15 if you fancy sampling the nightlife. San Pedro is closer and cheaper but you can enjoy a fantastic evening out in the village until the small hours, and it won't cost a fortune.

Unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
Front and rear patios extend around the side of the house. Sun loungers and outside dining furniture are on-site. Guests can use the village pool facility free of charge, which is a 5 mins stroll or a 1 minute drive and comprises both a large pool and an excellent toddler pool and a restaurant/bar.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is approx 7km from the house, 5 mins drive. There are many better beaches along the Marbella coast to chose from, the closest (5-10 mins) being Guadalmina Beach, Linda Vista Playa and San Pedro Beach with 1km promenade. All have water sports, restaurants, sun beds and Guadalmina has 2 beach clubs. Further east there are more superb beaches, my favorite being Marbella Town after an early morning shopping spree and lunch or tapas in one of the many fine seafront establishments.

Golf
High season (1 Feb -31 May, 1 Oct -30 Nov) green fees vary. Google "golf spain" for golf booking agents. ATALAYA PARK 5 mins drive. Old and new course both 18 holes par 72 & 67. Official headquarters of the PGA of Europe. Beautifully manicured fairways & greens. excellent practice facilities. MONTE MAYOR 5 mins drive. Andalucia's most spectacular course with breathtaking views on every hole, compulsory buggy. GUADALMINA 5 mins. 2 courses and additional 9 hole course. Great practice ground. EL PARAISO 5-10 mins. Designed by Gary Player. LOS FLAMINGOS 5-10 mins. 3 years host to Euro senior final. LOS ARQUEROS & Country Club 10 mins. Stunning layout by Ballesteros. LOS NARANJOS 10-15 mins. LA QUINTA 10-15 mins. Three 9 hole courses combined. ZAGALEETA, MARBELLA RESORT.

Travel
Benahavis is almost equidistant to Malaga and Gibraltar. Malaga to the village is approx 40 mins 47km. Gib is 40km but not an Easyjet destination. Monarch fly there but in my experience are always more expensive. Unless you are happy to remain in the village or use taxis, a car is essential to enjoy all that the 'California of Europe' has to offer.

Further details
A petrol station/mini market is located at the junction of the coast road and the Benahavis rd. Supermarkets can be found just a few km from the Benahavis turn off heading West to Gib. Banks can be found in the village. The country side surrounding the village affords superb walks, mountain biking and quad biking. Details of water parks, boat trips, safari parks, horse riding, dolphins etc can be found in the house.
