Changeover day
Changeovers are usually Saturdays in high season but can be variable at non-peak times of the year.
| Bedrooms: | 3 bedrooms are large doubles and 2 are twins or double. All are of equal high quality, have masses of wardrobe space, electric blinds, good lighting, air con and central heating. Master bedroom has 2 terraces, flatscreen TV, DVD. Hairdryers in every room. |
| Bathrooms: | 4 of the 5 bathrooms are en-suite. All have luxury "state of the art" facilities including bidets, large glass shower cubicles, and very large mirrors and marble work surfaces where ladies can spread out masses of toiletries! One bathroom also has a bath. |
| Kitchen: | The large modern kitchen, recently extend, is fully fitted with top appliances -dishwasher, washing machine, American fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser, oven and ceramic hob, another large fridge freezer for drinks, 'Innowave', and has 2 sinks. |

Notes on accommodation
All rooms fully hot-and cold air-conditioned, separate full central heating, WiFi internet access, burglar alarm linked to police response. All three sun terraces have sea views. Quiet neighbourhood.
Accessibility
Much of the accommodation is on one level with NO steps, making it ideal for the elderly or infirm. On the same level is the shaded car port, outdoor kitchen and shower, pool and pool terrace, living /dining room,kitchen, bathroom, and 2 of the bedrooms. An easy mostly flat walk to beaches, bars, restaurants and town.
Outside
Private walled gardens with a host of exotic semi-tropical plants. Security entry phone, automatic opening driveway doors, lots of shaded parking in driveway or garage. Outdoor kitchen, state of the art Beefeater barbecue and outdoor shower. Unusual shaped private pool with easy entry 'Roman' steps and a partially submerged 'gin and tonic' seat. Lovely outdoor lighting, including pool lights. Shaded rear pergola with built in seating and antique lounger. Naya (exterior shaded room) overlooking pool terrace with outdoor lounge furniture and dining seating for 10. As well as the pool terrace there are two upper terraces to take full advantage of the sea views. These are furnished with sun loungers and chairs, with large lounging areas, many colourful plants, a hi-fi for outdoor use and antique candle holders for outdoor mood lighting.
Coast/Beach
About 150 metres metres to the sea, a further 100m to nearest beach. Moraira has 3 E.C. "Blue Flag" beaches, of which the El Portet beach is a gem and has recently been described in the English press as the best beach on the Mediterranean coast of Spain! Moraira's main beach (Ampolla) has a childrens play area, beach bars, showers/toilets/foot washers. Many other small quiet coves within 10 minutes drive, with small summer bars. Larger busier beaches at nearby Calpe, and Javea (Aranel Beach).
Golf
Many courses (including Championship) within 30 minutes drive. Nearest course 1 mile, suitable for all standards. One hour away is "El Saler" in Valencia, one of the world's top 30 courses. Further full golf details on request.
Travel
Alicante airport 1 hour, Valencia 1 hour 15 mins, full detailed directions available. The villa is very convenient for easy walking to beaches and town, a car is not essential but preferable to explore the nearby towns and countryside.
Distances
Calpe, Javea and Denia are larger towns all about 15 minutes drive away. Benidorm (with it's Aquilandia water park, Terra Mitica theme park, and its nightlife) is 30 mins drive. Valencia, a wonderful city rivalling Madrid and Barcelona is 75 minutes drive and well worth a visit. The Jalon Valley, 15 minutes inland, is a beautiful valley surrounded by high unspoilt mountains.
Further details
A selection of local shops (chemist, newsagents, hairdresser etc) are 200m away, as are several bars and 7 restaurants. Moraira town is a flat 10 to 12 minute walk. Note: none of the shops or bars impinge upon the privacy of Villa Sol, which is in a quiet residential area, with no more building works in the immediate area. We're also only 400m from the ‘Algas’ bar, a Moraira institution, and the new restaurants and shops open there include 'Cafe del Mar', a world famous Ibiza chill-out bar. We offer an optional pampering (nails, facials, feet) and massage service. Also baby equipment hire; and even beach towel hire. About the owner
I have lived in Moraira for the past 8 years in Villa Sol having previously had a "starter" home in the area. I loved this area so much that I made it my permanent home. Having worked for years in the UK to build a business and as a result seen many glamorous destinations around the world, I found that the more relaxed pace of life in Spain - the outdoor living and wonderful climate - and the opportunities for outdoor land and water based sports - make Moraira a great place to live and to holiday. Importantly it is NOT a long haul destination, being only 2 hours flight from the UK. I like to help my clients enjoy their holiday with full information about the area, restaurant recommendations, places to visit, etc, and am always on hand to assist or rectify problems.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Moraira has one of the top three climates in the world (World Health Authority), has no high rise buildings, and is a "hidden jewel" of a resort more suited to the discerning traveller - it is most peoples dream to own a property in a sophisticated place such as this! It is close (1 hour) to the larger cities of Valencia and Alicante with their airports, for ease of access, but is NOT a "mass tourism" destination. Also just a few kilometers inland are beautiful high mountains with alpine style mountain passes and stunning scenery, where you will find the "real" Spain, villages that have hardly changed in a century.
