Salobreña is located on the Costa Tropical, the undiscovered Costa between the Costa del Sol to the west and the Costa Almeria to the north east. The heat of the North African winds, the warmth of the Mediterranean sea and the protection of the Sierra Nevada mountain range give the Costa Tropical a true subtropical microclimate, more than 320 days of sunshine per year (more than the Costa del Sol!) and an average yearly temperature of 20 degrees C. With easy access from Malaga, Granada or Almeria airport, it's the ideal holiday destination.

Casa Tranquilidad is a very attractive detached villa set in two gardens at the top of the private villa complex. It is in excellent condition throughout and is one of the most popular villas on Monte de los Almendros. The accommodation comprises a light and spacious lounge located in the centre of the villa at the front (sea view side), leading to the dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom to one end. Two additional bedrooms and bathroom are located to the other end of the villa. Between the lounge and dining room are large patio doors which lead to the outside areas.

Villa Alegria is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac towards the top of the private villa complex. It is an attractive detached villa set over 2 floors, which has been completely renovated and is in excellent condition throughout. The accommodation comprises a light and spacious lounge with balcony located at the front of the villa on the upper floor, leading to the dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom. 2 additional bedrooms, bathroom and utility room on the lower floor which leads to the outside areas.

Bedrooms: 2 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, dressing table, bedside table and a ceiling fan. A cot is also provided.

Kitchen: Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The kitchen also has a filter coffee machine and toaster.
General: Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen.
Dining: Seating for 6. The dining / lounge area has a ceiling fan and has spectacular views over Salobreña, especially at night.

Bedrooms: 2 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom. Each bedroom has a wardrobe and bedside table. The master bedroom has a ceiling fan. A cot is also provided.

Accessibility
Monte de los Almendros is a private villa complex in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Both villas are located approximately 300m above sea level which gives us spectacular views. However, as the villas are built onto the hillside, they both have steps to get to the villa and to the pool and gardens, which makes them unsuitable for wheelchair access.

Outside are extensive light, open patios and sun terraces amongst the gardens and surrounding the private 10m x 4m swimming pool, providing warm secluded spaces to enjoy the hazy vistas of the sparkling sea and mountains.

Villa Alegria

Both villas are equipped with a barbecue and patio furniture, including 6 sun loungers, tables and chairs. Villa guests are also provided with a swipe card for free entrance to the secure communal facilities, including large swimming pool, childrens pool, football pitch and tennis court.

Coast/Beach
Salobreñas two main beaches, Playa de la Charca and Playa de la Guardia, are within an easy 5 minute drive.
Motrils two beaches, Playa de Poniente and Playa de Granada, are a little further along the coast.

Golf
You can have a relaxing round of golf at the charming nine hole course five minutes east out of Salobreña at Campo de los Moriscos.

Skiing
Only just over an hour away is the international ski-resort in the often snow-capped Sierra Nevada, which forms a picturesque backdrop to the semi-tropical scenic countryside.

Travel
Car hire is recommended, although taxi services are available from Salobreña.
Granada Airport is approximately 45 miles away (1 hour).
Malaga Airport is approximately 65 miles away (1.25 hour).

Distances
Our villas are ideal for a family holiday and an excellent base for exploring and enjoying the Costa Tropical, the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada mountains and the city of Granada. The delightful town of Salobreña, with its many beaches, bars, shops and restaurants is only 5 minutes away at the bottom of the hill. The vibrant city of Granada, with its enchanting Alhambra Palace, can be reached in less than an hour.

Further details
Local attractions include Salobreña town, at the foot of the hillside, nestling amongst the geraniums and ancient, winding Arab streets, hugging the contours of the huge rock at its heart. The dominant Arab castle at the top of the rock is great to explore and the views from the top are spectacular, over the sugar cane plantations below to the beautiful beaches.
Other areas of interest include the fishing port in Motril, Almuñecar and the Tropical Valley, the Contraviesa and the Guajares Routes, all only a stone's throw from Salobreña.

Local activities include windsurfing, beach volleyball, deep-sea angling, rod fishing and scuba diving all taking advantage of the coastal location.

The beatiful and spectacular countryside can be explored on foot on the natural footpaths, or across the rugged terrain on horseback or mountain bikes. The more adventurous can explore from the air by helicopter, parascending or hang-gliding or even take part in an ascent of the Boca del Dragon or a guided survival excursion!

To book either Casa Tranquilidad or Villa Alegria, please just email with your dates to confirm availability. A booking deposit of 30% is payable immediately when booking greater than 60 days prior to arrival. The balance is payable at least 60 days prior to arrival at the villa. If booking less than 60 days prior to arrival, the full booking amount is payable immediately.
We also require a returnable security deposit of 200 euros against loss or damage to the villa and its contents.
