This 3 bedroom property sleeps 6 with 1 double room, 1 single room and 1 twin room with optional third bed. It is decorated in the Andalucian ‘Moorish’ style. It is only 20 metres from the beach in the tiny unspoilt fishing village of Las Negras in the ‘Cabo de Gata’ national park in Spain’s south east corner of Almeria. Las Negras is an ideal destination for anyone looking for peace and quiet, to chill out, read, relax, hike, cycle or to study the flora and fauna of Europe's only desert wilderness. There are no nightclubs and no clubbers .The village has about 5 restaurants, 3 small bar/cafes and that’s about it, you can eat out or dine in on your own front terrace, or picnic on the beach (its only 10 seconds away). The whole village is set in the spectacular Cabo de Gata national park. For movie buffs Almeria is also the home of the spaghetti western and you can visit the movie sets at "mini Hollywood" about 50 minutes drive away.

Accessibility
There is one normal step up to the front patio from the street and another single step from the patio to the house. The house is all ground floor, it is not designed to be wheelchair accessible but has no notable obstructions. The bathroom is reasonably spacious. Its possible to go from the front door to the edge of the beach down a sloping road without encountering any further steps (though the gradient at the slipway to the beach might be considered a little challenging).

There is a front patio for dining al fresco.
Coast/Beach
The house is second line so the beach is at the end of the road, about 30 second walk or 20 metres, the beach itself has a sandy part and a stony part, there are also a number of better and very sandy beaches within 7 minutes drive including "El Playazo" which is possibly one of the finest unspoilt beaches in Spain.
Golf
Almeria is also a wonderful destination for golfers with many desert courses, Las Negras could be used as a base for a number of different golf excursions. It would take about 45 miutes drive to get to the nearest ones.
Special interest holidays
Las Negras is an ideal destination for anyone looking for peace and quiet, to chill out, read, relax, hike, cycle or to study the flora and fauna of Europe's only desert. Nearby Las Salina's salt marshes are famous amongst bird watchers.
There are no nightclubs and no clubbers. The village has about 5 restaurants, three small bar/cafes and thats about it. You can eat out or dine in on your own front terrace, or picnic on the beach (its only 10 seconds away). The whole village is set in the spectacular Cabo de Gata national park.
For movie buffs Almeria is also the home of the spagetti western and you can visit the movie sets at "mini hollywood" about 50 minutes drive away. Some of the movies that were shot nearby are legendary: Sergio Leone's 'Dollars' trilogy ('A Fistful of Dollars', 'For a Few Dollars More' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly') starring Clint Eastwood as the Man with No Name, 'Django' with Franco Nero.
Travel
The most direct way to get there is to fly to Almeria airport (Ryanair and Easyjet fly direct) and then rent a car, Las Negras is 40 minutes drive from the airport. Car hire is strongly recommended.
Distances
There are many lovely little towns and villages to visit within the Cabo de Gata National Park. Many specialise in local seafood, and ceramics are very popular.
Further details
This is a chill-out destination, it is a lovely unspoilt wilderness. The village has changed little in 75 years, there are no highrise apartment blocks and none of the overdevelopment you may have seen elsewhere.
The local village has a convenience store but its small, there is a supermarket in the nearby town of Campo Hermoso.
