Casa de la Victoria is a newly renovated/built spacious house, situated on the edge of this beautiful village. The house boasts some of the most dramatic views in the Lecrin Valley from the roof terrace. The swimming pool is situated on the roof terrace, which also has a built in pergola, with a barbecue, fridge, dining and seating area. There are 4 bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin), 2 of which are en-suite and 1 with it’s own private terrace. There is an additional bathroom and a very large open plan kitchen/dining/living area.

Notes on accommodation
The swimming pool 1.5m x 2.5m deep, with no shallow end. It is therefore not suitable for children who are not competent in the water.

The house is on 3 levels, making it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
Large roof terrace, with private swimming pool (4m x 3m and 2.5m deep x 1.5m deep). Sun loungers, dining table, chairs and benches, built-in pergola, large gas barbecue and fridge. Small private terrace off bedroom 1.
Coast/Beach
The stunning beaches of the Costa Tropical are just 35 minutes drive away.
The main resports are:
Motril, 35 minutes, Salobrena, 40 minutes, Almunecar, 45 minutes, La Herradura, 50 minutes, Nerja, 60 minutes. Between the main resorts are many delightful, secluded coves. There are 2 water parks within easy driving distance, which are both excellent for children.
Golf
There are 3 golf courses within 35 minutes drive.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada, which is a 50 minute drive away, is the highest ski resort in Spain (10 peaks at more than 3000m). It is also very sunny and relatively quiet. The ski season starts in December and lasts until the end of March.
Special interest holidays
Acequias offers direct access to the GR7, linking the cities of Granada and Almeria through the Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras, with panoramic views of the Lecrin valley, the Costa Tropical and the Mediterranean Sea. The section of the GR7 from Acequias to Lanjaron (entry gate to the Alpajarras) takes 3 hours 20 mins walking.
The spa town of Lanjaron is 10 minutes drive from Acequias, and is well known throughout Spain. The Lanjaron hydrothermal centre provides spa treatments, massages, thermal beauty treatments, parafangos and physiotherapy.

Car hire is essential for a stay in Acequias.
Granada Airport, 35 minutes.
Malaga Airport, 1 hour 45 minutes.

Further details
Acequias is a beautiful, sleepy village, with a no through road. There is no shop, but vans come to the village everyday bringing bread, vegetables, fruit and fish. Although there is no bar in Acequias, Niguelas is a stunning 30 minute walk away and has several bars and restaurants. Durcal, 10 minutes drive away, is the largest close town, and has all necessary shops/amenities.
Note: If you require additional space or privacy for a large group, Casa de la Victoria is next to Casa Torre, which is also advertised on this site. Casa Torre is a beautifully renovated village house providing an additional two bedrooms. The houses can be jointly rented by arrangement with either owners.
