This newly furnished, family owned apartment is situated on the secure private community complex of Al Andalus Hills near Vera Playa. A friendly complex of just 150 properties, it has the benefit of a large outdoor pool and children's splash pool set in beautiful gardens with shade provided, an indoor pool, children's play area and private covered parking. The first floor apartment is much loved by its owners and features a king size room, twin room, 2 bathrooms, large living area with sofabed and a patio with amazing views over the hills and Mojacar Pueblo. The nearest beach is just 10 mins walk but there are lots of others locally within just 10 mins by car. There is a local supermarket and restaurant within 5 mins walk. Vera Parque Aquatico is also visible from the balcony.

Excellent holiday apartment for children as the site is so secure and safe. Our own children just love mixing with the other English and Spanish children here, giving Mum and Dad a break!

Outside
There is a shared outdoor pool, with smaller toddler splash pool available May-September. There is a fully heated indoor pool with changing facilities available October-April. The children's play area situated in the main garden can be easily viewed from the kitchen of our apartment and has the basic swings and slides loved by all ages. We have a patio with table and chairs and two sunbeds that can be taken to the pool or beach.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach, the 'banana' blue flag beach of Vera Playa is just 10 mins walk away. There are literally 100's of little coves and larger beaches within a 20 minute drive. Many of them have blue flag status and operate lifeguards, toilets and showers during the summer months. They also tend to have volleyball pitches and play areas on them as well. Some of the best local food is to be had on the local each 'chiringuitos' which are only open int he summer months.
Golf
The nearest course, just 10 minutes drive away, is Desert Springs in Palomares which is 6179m, par 72 course. Marina de la Torre nr Mojacar (15 mins) is 18 holes (mixture of flat and hills) of 5700m, par 72. El Cortijo Grande, nr Turre (10 mins) is currently being renovated but runs open competitions on Sun & Wed mornings for non-members. Valle Del Este nr Vera is just 5 mins drive away and is a challenging 5500m, par 71 course.
Travel
Almeria airport is just 50 mins drive away, mostly on the peaceful E15. Murcia San Javier is 1 hour drive via the toll road (costs €11,50) or 2 hours free on the old dual carriageway. These airports are served by the budget airlines from most UK airports. There is currently no train link to this area of Almeria although a high speed link from Madrid is planned for the future.
Distances
The traditional fishing village of Garrucha is just 10 mins by car. The nearest supermarket and restaurants are just 8 mins walking as is the Parque Aquatico (fun water park for all the family). Mojacar Playa remains active all year around and is a 15 minute car drive, as is the traditional village of Mojacar Pueblo which offers a lovely selection of small shops. Vera town is just 10 minutes away.
Further details
For those who like to travel further afield, the Cabo De Gato National Park is ideal for those looking for a hiking holiday, or even some interesting driving scenery - about 40 minutes away. Head into the desert, via Sorbas to find traditional Spanish craft towns, just 20 minutes drive. Or journey north by 30 minutes to San Juan de Los Terreros for fantastic beaches and then a further 10 minutes for the lively town of Aguilas. There are local markets virtually every day of the week in different villages.
Booking notes
We ask for a £100 deposit at the time of booking, refundable after your stay. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to your date of travel. Beach towels are available to hire, saving valuable luggage weight.
