Villa Arenoso was originally built in the seventies and has been extended and modernised. It has 5 bedrooms arranged over 3 levels plus a seperate studio with en suite. 3 of the bedrooms and the studio appartment have their own private terraces, each with superb sea views. There are additional terraces all of which receive the sun all day long. There is a private pool 8m x 4m and a barbecue, table tennis and 2 sets of golf clubs. There are 2 lounges one of which is 30 feet long and opens onto a covered terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. A 700 yard stroll down the hill will find you on the fantastic beach, where there are shops, bars and restaurants. The villa is close to two golf courses, horse riding, karting and scuba diving at nearby Torrox.

Changeover day
The changeover day is preferably Saturday, however I am very flexible and believe in a first come first served basis, where possible. Arrival times are also flexible to an extent as I have a local English speaking agent who will meet and greet.

Notes on accommodation
There are books and games at the villa including a Playstation 2, table tennis, videos and DVDs. There is full Sky TV (ie all sports and movie channels) in the large lounge along with a DVD player and a stereo. In the smaller lounge is freeview sky, a DVD player and a VCR. There is no air conditioning but there are fans in each room. There are convector heaters and an open fire with logs for the winter.

Accessibility
There is a back gate to the villa which is on a level with the kitchen, two lounges, covered terrace and two of the bedrooms. This is very useful for loading and unloading and also for wheelchair access.
Outside
There is a private pool 8m x 4m, 75cm to 150cm deep, which is private and not overlooked. There are many terraces and a garden area with trees and a small lawn. The barbecue is on the same level as the pool and there are numerous tables, chairs, sun lounges, parasols, etc .
The fifth bedroom opens onto a its own lower terrace and is very private.
Coast/Beach
The beach is 700 metres down the hill from the villa and takes 10 mins to walk or 2 mins to drive. The beach is a two mile expanse of beautiful sand and is serviced by numerous beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Benajarafe beach still retains the old world unspoilt feel of the fishing village that it is. Fishermen can be seen hauling their boats onto the beach after a hard nights fishing, then dividing their catch between various restaurant and market stall owners.
Golf
There are two fine golf courses nearby; Anoretta, which is long, well established, with an excellent clubhouse. This is only 10 minutes drive from the villa. The other course is
Baviera Golf which is new and superb. Baviera is only 12 minutes from the villa in the opposite direction.
Skiing
Skiing is available between November to April at Sol e Nervre in the Sierra Nervada Mountains near Granada. The slopes are 90 minutes away on the new Malaga/Granada motorway. The slopes are good for all levels of skiers Mulhassen being the highest mountain in mainland Spain, at 3508 metres.
Travel
The nearest airport is Malaga this is 25kms or half an hour drive away. The taxi fare from the airport should be no more than 45 euros. It is however recomended that one hires a car.
There is a regular bus service into 'Malaga', 17kms, 'Torre del Mar', 8kms or 'Velez Malaga', 10kms.
Distances
Benajarafe is a fishing village, the nearest town is 'Rincon de la Victoria' which is 5kms west along the beach. 'Nerja' at which one can find the 'Cuerva De Nerja', the famous 'Balcon de Europa' and lots of superb shops and restaurants is 25kms to the east of Benajarafe.
Further details
Benajarafe is an excellent base from which to explore one of the unspoilt parts of coastal Spain. From here one has easy access to the white villages at the foothills of the Sierras or one can visit the incredible 'Alhambra' and the High Sierras at Granada.
Going to the west, Malaga is a large city with an amazing
history, architecture and a purely Spanish feel.
