Casa Caleta is a 200 year old reformed finca in Mijas, an historic white village in the hills above the Costa del Sol. The 4 rooms have either an en suite bath or shower room and have either twin or double beds. Breakfast is served on the sunny terrace with stunning views over the Mediterranean. There is a shared swimming pool and barbecue area that guests are free to use as they wish.

Outside
Casa Caleta is situated below the bull ring and botanical gardens of Mijas and is just a 10 minute stroll from the centre of the village. There is a heated shared swimming pool with an adjoining terraced barbecue area where guest can relax and enjoy the wonderful climate of the Costa del Sol.
The house is built on the side of a mountain and is on 4 levels. This means that there are several steps and is not suitable for very young children and people with mobility difficulties.
Coast/Beach
Casa Caleta is located in the beautiful white village of Mijas, in the hills above the Costa del Sol. The famous coastal resorts of Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, La Cala and Marbella are all within 30 minutes drive.
Golf
Mijas is in the heart of the Costa del Golf and is just above Golf Valley. Courses within a 20 minute drive include La Cala Resort, El Chapparal, Santana, Alhaurin and Mijas.
Special interest holidays
In September 2007 we are offering Tai Chi, Qigong and yoga courses. From the 15.09-22.09 we are having yoga classes and from the 26.09-29.09 we are offering Tai Chi and Qigong classes. Please contact us for further details.
Travel
The nearest airport is Malaga, just 20 minutes away by car. There are very good public transport links from the village to the coast and from there all along the Costa del Sol to Malaga in the east and past Marbella in the west.
A hire car is not essential but can add to your enjoyment by giving you greater flexibility.
Further details
The climate in the region is second to none. There are on average more than 300 days of sunshine per year and during the winter months it really is possible to ski in the morning and after a lunch of Paella and Sangria, sunbathe on the beach in the afternoon.
Andalucia is the jewel in the crown of the magical country of Spain. It is world renowned for its coastal resorts that are visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists every year but it has so much more to offer.
Mijas is famous for its local arts and crafts shops and so much more. There are dozens of superb bars and restaurants offering all sorts of cuisine from local tapas to cream teas. Come during Feria time and enjoy wonderful Flamenco shows and fun for people of all ages.
