The rambling buildings, reminiscent of a small hamlet, consist of the main farmhouse and its converted outbuildings. Together they provide very spacious (some 750 square metres)and comfortable accommodation for between 2 and 12 guests. Its location close to Ronda makes for easy access and to the major airports at Seville, Malaga and Jerez as well as the beaches of the Costa del Sol and the cities of Seville, Cordoba, Granada and the beautiful ‘white villages’ of Andalucia. It sports 2 swimming pools (one of which is an infinity pool), 2 kitchens, a games room and a home cinema. There are large entertaining rooms, very well equipped kitchens for the most discerning cooks, terraces for alfresco dining and a home cinema with plenty of movies; WiFi internet connection; air conditioning in three of the bedrooms (supplement) Complimentary seasonal organic vegetables are available from the garden and there is a bodega stocked with interesting local wines which guests are welcome to purchase.

Notes on prices
During High season we rent only the entire property. At other times of the year we are happy to consider smaller parties and also short breaks/long weekends or, alternatively, during the low season, long lets would also be possible. Please enquire for specific details according to your requirements.
Changeover day
Our changeover day is a Saturday with arrival no earlier than 5pm and departure on the last day by 10am. At times other than high season, or if the house is empty before or after your visit, we can usually be more flexible. Please enquire for details.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1, 5 and 6 all have double beds including one fourposter. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 can be either twins or king size doubles. Bedrooms 1, 4 and 6 have air-con (supplement) All have fine Egyptian cotton linen and deep, pocket sprung English mattresses. |
| Bathrooms: | All bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with WC, two basins (except Bed 4 which has only one basin) and bidet. In addition bedrooms 1, 2 and 6 also have baths. Bedroom 1 has a roll top bath within the bedroom. |

Notes on accommodation
The house is part air conditioned (a small supplementary charge is payable if these are required) and all bedrooms have fans. For the cooler months there is underfloor heating and central heating as well as open fires. (A supplement is charged for logs and additional heating) Children are welcome and we have 2 travel cots and highchairs available although we do not provide cot linen or bedding. There is also a baby bath.
Accessibility
This is a very rambling property with many cobbled areas and steps, making it unsuitable for those who are infirm.
Outside
There are 2 large covered dining terraces (one with BBQ, sink and fridge). A major feature of the property are the two swimming pools - one an infinity pool 13x7m and the second a smaller ‘alberca’ pool 8m x 4m. Both are surrounded by terracing and have plenty of sun loungers, gazebos and umbrellas. There are five acres of terraced gardens sloping down towards the valley floor and river below. The banks are swathed in lavender, rosemary and thyme and a productive organic vegetable garden provides seasonal produce for our guests to enjoy. Almost all the bedrooms have direct access to the garden or a terrace and enjoy far reaching views towards Ronda and the mountains beyond. There are two mountain bikes, 4 tennis racquets and two sets of golf clubs available which our guests are welcome to borrow.
Coast/Beach
The coast of the Costa del Sol with its many sandy beaches, bars and restaurants is within an hour whilst the Atlantic coast at Tarifa for wind surfing is another 45 mins. For the intrepid traveller, a day trip to Tangier is a possibility with a fast ferry from Algeciras or Tarifa taking half an hour to reach the excitement of North Africa.
Golf
There are large numbers of golf courses, some of which are championship, within a 45 min - 75 min drive with 2 more currently under construction close to Ronda. During high season it is always advisable to book and we can arrange this for you. There are two sets of clubs available at the house for guests' to use during their stay.
Skiing
The relatively uncrowded slopes of the Sierra Nevada can be reached from the house in approx 2 hours and skiing for all abilities is accommodated.
Special interest holidays
Although we do not provide our own cookery, painting, yoga or other courses we are happy to accommodate those who wish to hire the house to provide their own courses. Please discuss your requirements and we will be happy to help.
Travel
The airports of Malaga, Seville and Jerez are all approx 1½ hour drive and all are served by international airlines. The port of Algeciras is also about 1½ hour with the Northern Spanish ports of Santander and Bilbao approx 10 hours driving time from the house.
Distances
Our nearest ‘white village’ of Arriate is some 10 minutes distant and a few minutes more brings you to the famous town of Ronda with its historic bullring and dramatic gorge. The Roman ruins of Ronda la Vieja are about 20 minutes drive and the national park at Grazalema some 30 minutes drive. A little farther afield - approx 90 minutes - can be found the cities of Malaga, Seville or Cordoba. A two hour train journey will bring you to Granada and The Alhambra.
Further details
There is an abundance of bars and restaurants in the area including the Michelin starred Tragabuches in Ronda. Our local village of Arriate has bars, restaurants, bank, and various food shops providing most day to day requirements. We can arrange a variety of activities; riding, ballooning, sailing, tennis, wine tasting, massages, and guided walks. There are four tennis racquets available at the house for our guests to use during their stay and a tennis court is situated approximately ten minutes from the house. Two mountain bikes are also available at the house for those wishing to explore the many tracks which wind round the valley. More can be hired locally.
Shopping in Ronda is easy with several large supermarkets as well as plenty of small artesan suppliers. There are also a number of museums and galleries, historic buildings and churches for those keen to absorb some culture during their holiday. Wonderful walking is to be had in the locale and we can arrange for an experienced and informative guide to escort guests. Or there are books and maps available at the house for those who prefer to set off independently. The best times of year for a walking holiday are Spring and Autumn when the temperatures are lower.

Finca La Morera is owned by Toca Madera Estates SL, a limited company registered in Spain. The property was acquired in 2002, when it was fully restored and refurbished by the three English company directors; a former London restaurateur, a Devon hotelier and the proprietor of a London joinery firm. It is let exclusively throughout the year as a holiday rental villa.
