This house in Islantilla is on the southern coast of Spain, near to wide sandy beaches and close to the border with Portugal. Islantilla Golf Club, the beach and a good selection of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The garden has lovely views and a patio and BBQ for alfresco dining. For the energetic there are paddle tennis courts on site (racquets provided), water sports at the beach and golf at the nearby Islantilla Golf Club. The large swimming pool is located conveniently close to the house and is open from mid June to mid September. A play area within the complex keeps the children happy.

The house is within an attractive gated complex and if you like a relaxing holiday with time at the pool, beach or golf course, then this could be the holiday for you. We think this is a great house for golf or beach lovers, groups, couples or families. Sun loungers, beach chairs and beach parasols are provided, a good range of children's beach toys, paddling pool etc are stored in the garage. Outside

Coast/Beach
Beautiful sandy beaches stretch for miles along the coast, the nearest is 15 mins walk or 5 mins in the car. Many more beaches lie within 10 mins drive. Both La Antilla and Islantilla beach have a good selection of restaurants bars and cafes although the house itself is set in a quiet area. Islantilla has an attractive commercial centre near to the beach which is great for a browse.
Golf
Islantilla Golf Club and Golf Resort Hotel are 10 mins walk away. The 27 hole course is beautifully laid out amongst pine trees with views across the resort, countryside and sea. Islantilla hosts numerous professional tournaments and has extensive facilities including golf shop, driving range, club and buggy hire and lessons from the resident golf pro. The following championship standard golf courses are within half an hour's drive; El Rompido, Castro Marim (Algarve), Nuevo Portil, Isla Canela and Bellavista.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport, just under 1 hour drive along good dual carriageway; Seville, an hour and a half by car, is an alternative and a good way to combine your trip with a city break. Cheap flights are available to Faro with Monarch, Easyjet, British Airways, Excel Airways and First Choice. Transfers can be arranged although we would recommend car hire and can provide details of a reliable and reasonably priced car hire company at Faro.
Distances
La Antilla beach, shops and restaurants, 15 mins walk or a few mins in the car. Islantilla beach and commercial centre, 30 mins walk or 5 mins by car. Huelva, capital of the province, 40 mins by car. Seville, 1 hour 15 mins by car. Portugese Algarve 30 mins by car.
Further details
There are many opportunities for sightseeing and culture in the area including Seville, El Rocio, Coto Donana national park, The Aracena caves and crossing the border to Portugal's Algarve area. Further a field are visits to Cadiz, Jerez, Cordoba and Granada. Inland is particularly beautiful in the spring when the mountains are carpeted with flowers. Ayamonte, the border town, is 30 mins drive away and well worth a visit; from here you can take a 10 min boat ride across the river to Villa Real in Portugal.
