A comfortable holiday house with its own garden and swimming pool situated approximately 4.5km from Orgiva, above the banks of the River Guadalfeo at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. In front of the entrance to house there is a 25msq covered terrace which looks onto the swimming pool, an ideal place for eating alfresco or relaxing in the shade and enjoying the mountain views. The swimming pool is largely view protected and surrounded by a large green lawn, ideal for sunbathing or playing sporting activities. The pool itself is completely enclosed with fencing, making it completely child-friendly. Parking places are right by the house making loading and unloading very easy and the approach road, although the last kilometre is a dirt track it is in good condition.

Travel
Malaga airport is 2 hours by car, Almeria airport 2.5 hours. Granada airport is an hour‘s drive away. A car is recommended.

Distances
Granada 50 mins. The property is accessed by a 200m private track in good condition. Orgiva, with supermarkets, restaurants, banks with ATM's and medical help is 5 mins by car. There is a big market every Thursday.

Further details
The Alpujarras lead you, in less than an hour, from the snow-capped scenery of the Sierra Nevada down to the Mediterranean shoreline and offer landscapes as diverse as their climatic variations. The high mountain vegetation - chestnut trees and pines - contrasts greatly with that of the middle and low Alpujarras where olive, orange trees, vineyards and tropical fruit like avocados and mangos abound. Although the sun shines throughout the year, the Alpujarras lay claim to a great treasure - abundant water from the Sierra Nevada and snow, which allow the year-round blooming of bougainvilleas, jasmine and geraniums. Furthermore, a large part of the Alpujarras is a protected, pollution-free natural park where only the sound of birds, crickets and cicadas can be heard.

The Moorish culture has also left its mark here and visitors will feel the presence of the past as they wander through gleaming white washed villages and observe the ancient systems still in use today - irrigation channels running through the streets and terraces of olive and almond trees in the countryside.

During your stay, a trip to the Alhambra Palace in Granada is highly recommended and, for those who like sports there are opportunities for mountain trekking, horse-riding, skiing in the Sierra Nevada or golf in Motril. You can relax with a book under an olive tree, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool or wander along the ancient goat herders‘ paths.
