Finca Alta Vista is set high on 4 acres of hillside overlooking an unspoilt valley with uninterrupted, breathtaking views south and west to the distant hills. The house has been renovated to a very high standard. There is 35sq.m of terracing: a shaded terrace along the front of the building with lights for evening dining or reading and a BBQ terrace at the side. Steps lead to a 8m x 4m private pool. All terraces have good quality teak furniture. The skyscapes and sunsets, the changing light and shadows on the rolling hillsides, and the sound of bells tinkling as the goats pass through the valley provide a tranquil and captivating background as you relax on the terraces, or in the pool. Keep an eye out for eagles circling above. After watching the sun set behind the distant hills, stargaze under the vast open sky and consider the many ways you too can enjoy the Andalucian experience tomorrow.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Payment can also be made in Euros for guests coming from the Euro zone. Discounted long winter lets are available from October to March. The property is available for short stays of three days or more from October to March also when the price quoted is a nightly rate. Please contact us for further details.

Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday during July and August. We will try to be flexible if possible at other times. Check-out is at 10am and check-in is after 4pm.

Bedroom 1 - 1 extra large double bed, or two single beds.
Bedroom 2 - 1 large double bed.
Bathrooms: Each bathroom is finished to a high standard with attractive tiles.
Bathroom 1 - shower enclosure.
Bathroom 2 - bath with shower.
Kitchen: The kitchen area has an electric oven, microwave oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer and a dishwasher.
Utility Room: In the utility room there is an additional sink, washing machine, and large larder fridge.
Living Rooms: The sitting room has a large sofa and two leather club chairs. There is a 27" LCD TV with satellite connection, and DVD player (and DVD library). The stereo system has radio, tape and CD facilities. Wi-Fi connection and laptop available for guest use.
Other: The dining area has a traditional wooden table with 6 chairs.

The rental rate includes linen, bath and pool towels and a welcome starter pack including coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, butter, bread and eggs.

Notes on accommodation
There is air-conditioning in the bedrooms. The units also provide heating in winter. A powerful log fire heats the living areas. Logs can be purchased locally by arrangement. Because of the terrain, the accommodation is not really suitable for toddlers. Further advice can be given if you need it.

Outside
An 8m x 4m private pool with Roman steps is for the sole use of guests. Sun loungers, cushions, large parasols and side tables are all provided for your comfort. In addition, there is a table with bench and two armchairs on the shaded front terrace and another table and four chairs at the side BBQ terrace. Plenty of other seating is also available.

Coast/Beach
Coastal beaches are 45-60 minutes drive away. There are also nearby lakes for swimming.

Golf
The town of Antequera, 30 mins away, has a new golf course.

Skiing
There is skiing at the Sol y Nieve ski resort in the Sierra Nevada mountains at just over 2 hours drive from the house.

Travel
Malaga Airport is 1 hour's drive. Granada Airport is about 1.5 hours away. A car is essential.

Distances
Pastelero has 2 bar/restaurants serving a wide range of delicious Spanish dishes, and a bakery - 2 min drive. Villanueva de la Concepcion is 10 mins away in one direction while at the same distance in the other Almogia clings precariously to a hillside. Both villages have many small shops, bars and restaurants. The historic town of Antequera is 30 mins by car. The Antequera-Malaga motorway is 15 mins away with easy routes to Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda and the coastal beaches.

Further details
Villanueva has two banks, several small supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, bars and cafes and other small shops.
Market Day in Villanueva is on Monday mornings. Tuesdays for Almogia and Antequera. Antequera has magnificent architecture, many fine churches, a Moorish castle, Dolmen caves, Roman ruins, a bullring, a golf course, shops and several large supermarkets.
The magnificent El Torcal national park, just above Villanueva, offers walking routes around and between intriguing rock formations.

Booking notes
Please email us when you have made your choice of dates from the availability chart. A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. Full payment must be made no later than 6 weeks before the start of the booked period. A 100 Euro or Pound returnable breakages deposit will also be required in cash by the property manager on arrival. This will be rfunded on departure provided no breakages have occurred.
