Cuevas Cantona is a beautiful Andalucían cave home which rests on the hillside of Freila, a typical village in the Granada province of Southern Spain. The cave enjoys a quiet village location, with stunning views from three sun terraces. The cave house is available all year round for holiday rental, offering a unique holiday experience for lovers of the great outdoors and those looking for a peaceful, comfortable retreat. It is perfectly located to explore and experience the real Spain. Freila is close to four natural/national parks and is only 5 minutes away from the beautiful Lake Negratin. Days can be spent walking, cycling, fishing or just relaxing by the shores of the lake.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning is not required as Cave houses maintain a constant temperature of approximately 18 degrees all year round. Consequently the cave is cool in the summer and snug during the winter.

Outside
Cuevas Cantona has three terraces. The main terrace is at the front of the property and this is where you will find the swimming pool, chimenea style barbeque and covered dining area. The private terrace overlooks the Spanish countryside where the locals tend their olive, fig and pomegranate lined allotments daily. It's not unusual to see the locals going down to tend their land on mules. From this terrace you get a clear view of the Moorish tower on the edge of the village. This is illuminated at night and looks wonderful from the terrace. The sun is on this terrace during the second part of the day, so it is the perfect place to enjoy many beautiful sunsets.

Further details
Cuevas Cantona is situated on the edge of the old part of the village, and all local amenities are within easy walking distance. There are two small supermarkets, a butchers, bakers, fishmongers, post office, bank and pharmacy in the village. There is a good restaurant and several bars in the village. Just minutes away there are three excellent restaurants all of which have wonderful views over the lake. Tapas with drinks in this area is the norm and generally delicious.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is required 4 weeks prior to the date of your arrival. If you book within four weeks of your arrival date, the total cost of you stay is required at the time of booking.
