View from the Naya across the Valley

The villa is situated on the outskirts of Orba, midway between the cities of Alicante and Valencia. The coastal resorts of Denia, Javea and Moraira are a 20 - 30 minute drive away - the popular resorts of Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and Oliva are a 45 - 60 minute drive away. The airports of Valencia and Alicante are an approx 75 - 90 minutes drive away. The villa is located on a small private select Urbanization of about 30 detached properties and is within easy walking distance of the village of Orba which has banks, a chemist, a supermarket, numerous bars and restaurants. The villa, which has a self contained apartment below the upper floor, is well equipped and has superb views of the Orba valley from the Naya, which is north facing, so cooler during the summer months. Sat TV with limited channels is available together with a video and DVD Player. The villa and area is more suited to families. It is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or groups of young single people.

Changeover day
Our changeover day is flexible. The villa will be available for occupation 3pm on the day of your arrival and you must vacate before 11am on the day of your departure. Times may be adjusted if the villa is vacant before or after your rental period.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is arranged over 2 floors which is perfect for a family of 4 on the upper floor, and 2/3 adults on lower floor. The upper floor has a lounge/dining area 2 bedrooms (one with en-suite) bathroom, kitchen and naya (covered terrace), with spectacular views across the valley. An internal staircase from the upper area gives access to a newly constructed self contained 1 b/room apartment with its own lounge/dining area, kitchen, en-suite and cloak room. The door from the apartment kitchen leads directly onto the large sun terrace, pool. Remote controlled air-conditioning units are installed in the main bedroom and the upper/lower lounges. There are ceiling fans in the 2nd, 3rd bedrooms and upstairs lounge. A cool box, cutlery and plastic plates are available for guest picnic use. There is an ample supply of plastic glasses and plates for use around the pool. Smoking is not permitted inside the Villa. Child gates are available to fit if required to prevent access to stairs.

Accessibility
As the villa is arranged over 2 floors, there are internal and external stairs to the garden and pool area which may be unsuitable for people with walking difficulties.

Outside
The Naya (covered terrace) on the upper floor is north facing and remains cooler in summer months and has wonderful views across the valley. It is equipped with a table and 6 chairs. The very private pool (8 metres x 4 metres with depth ranging from 3-5 feet, with Roman steps at the shallow end), and the terrace are south facing and get the sun most of the day. The tiled terrace area has a large hot/cold water shower and gas barbecue. There are 6 sun beds, a large parasol, table and 6 chairs. The garden, containing many fruit trees surrounds the villa. There is a small gate by the pool area which leads on to a track between the orange groves, making it a short cut for a walk into Orba.

Coast/Beach
Denia, the north side of Denia has miles of sandy beaches, around 20 mins by car. Javea the Arenal beach is the most popular, is sandy and is lined with shops and restaurants, around 30 mins by car. Moraira sandy cove type beach, Marina close by, around 30 mins by car. Calpe has about 3 beaches all sandy; you can walk into the town from one of its beaches, around 30 mins by car. Benidorm with lovely sandy beaches, lots of shops, night clubs and restaurants.

Golf
La Sella, Oliva and Javea golf courses are all within a short drive away, even if you don't play golf visit the 19th hole and have a drink and lunch on the terrace watching the golf and taking in the views of the course.

Travel
Orba is situated equidistant between the airports of Alicante and Valencia. Travel time to the Villa from either airport is approximately 75 to 90 mins most of which is motorway. The use of a Car or Car hire is essential.

Distances
Orba village is a 10 min walk away. Denia a 20 min drive and Javea around 30 mins drive. The town of Jalon is around 20 mins drive where you can sample and purchase the local wine. Benidoleig has some interesting caves which is a 5 min drive away. Vergel has a Safari Park which is about a 20 min drive. The Terra Mitica Adventure Theme Park, Mundomar Dolphin/Seal Show, Aqualandia Water Theme Park and Terra Natura Animal Theme Park are at Benidorm around 50 mins drive.

Further details
Orba has plenty of shops, banks restaurants and bars, you can purchase most things you would want in Orba. We also have a 24 hour Medical Centre. There are also lots of good restaurants in the surrounding villages. Well worth a visit is a drive over the mountains to the Algar Waterfalls and Guadalest.

Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week is required on booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival. There is also a damage/breakage deposit of £200 which is payable with your balance. This deposit will be refunded on the safe return of the keys and positive feedback from our agents in Spain. A welcome pack containing a few essentials will be provided on your arrival.
