The location is idyllic and the views stunning. Can Cunill is one of the last houses before the Montseny parklands, so just behind the villa you have miles and miles of pristine woodlands. The remote controlled gates open onto the lovely 21 acre garden property, with grassy lawns, flowerbeds, Cedar forest, lillyponds, and two large swimming pool: a children´s pool measing 6 meters round, and the large 13x6 meter, 2.5m deep adult pool. Poolside there is kitchen area with BBQ, dishwasher, seating for 50 guests, and pingpong. The interior is huge, divided into 3 living rooms, indoor and outdoor dining areas, an amazingly well-equipped kitchen (2 of everything! 2 Miele dishwashers, 2 stovetops, 2 fridges, 2 extractors, indoor BBQ, and all rooms are generously sized. The area is also renowned for the excellent quality of local restaurants, market towns, and shopping in general. 12 golf courses are within 25 miles of Can Cunill. The PGA course at Caldes is 8 miles away.

Notes on prices
Prices are all-inclusive (including all utilities, taxes, cleaning before your arrival, once a week during your stay, clean linen and towels and kitchen towels, etc.) and there are no hidden or extra costs of any kind.
General cleaning and linen change after first week for 2 week bookings.
Changeover day
Rentals are Saturday to Saturday in mid-season and high-season. Flexible the rest of the year.
In mid and high season, guests are kindly requested to arrive in the late afternoon and leave in the morning of last day to allow time for cleaning.

| Living Rooms: | There are two living rooms: the large living room has fireplace but no TV. Next door is TV room, wide-screen Sony TV with satelite, DVD, video player, the telephone with ADSL internet connection, some books and games, and another fireplace. |

Notes on accommodation
8 of the 10 bedrooms are air conditioned. Most bedrooms have either a private terrace or direct access to the garden.
The upstairs attic room is ideal as a romper room with up to 4 single beds for kids, on their own floor away from the adults.
Excellent gas-oil central heating means this villa is a good choice year round, especially considering the very low, low-season rates!
Accessibility
Given that the ground floor is all on one level, and that there are no steps involved when making your way from the driveway into the house, or from the kitchen across the dining room, across the two living rooms, across the atrium from which the bedroom wings are distributed - to the two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms beyond... all this is on one level and no steps, so yes, this is an excellent house for guests usings wheelchairs, or for guests, like my elderly parents, who avoid steps.
Outside
The garden is extraordinary, and maintained year-round by a full time gardener. It includes a lilly pond with goldfish, a Cedar forest, flower beds, and lots of different palm trees.
The pool is SALINE and not chlorine controlled - much, much healthier. The pool is cleaned and ph level controlled daily.
Coast/Beach
To be precise, Can Cunill is located on the road between Riudarenes and Esparra, just 10km off the confluence of the AP-7 highway running north/south 45km to France and 80 kms to Barcelona, and the C-63 to the Costa Brava resort towns just 15 southeast. Nearby beaches include Lloret de Mar, Blanes, and Tossa de Mar.
Commuter trains from Sils (8km from villa) leave you in Barcelona city center in one hour. Trains 7am to 10 pm, twice hourly. Free parking available at train station.
Golf
There are 12 golf courses within 20 miles of Can Cunill. The nearest is the new 52-hole PGA course in Caldes de Malavella, only 10 miles from the villa.
Skiing
Nearest skiing is about 60 kms away at La Molina, but even better skiing on offer further into the Pyrenees at Walter 2000 (70kms) in Andorra (90 kms).
Special interest holidays
Can Cunill, due to its unique kitchen and dining room facilities, both indoors and outdoors, has been used for both wedding celebrations and for cooking classes. Wedding parties are only welcome in the off-season.
Travel
Car Essential. Can Cunill is 45km south of the French border just below Perpignan. This is the A-2 in France which runs into the AP-7 in Spain. Can Cunill is 25km from Girona airport, served by RyanAir, and 100kms (60 miles) from Barcelona Airport, BA, EZJet, Iberia, Delta direct from US, etc. These are the main two airports for the region, but you could also check flights to Perpignan in France of Reus airport, south of Barcelona. Both are within an easy 2 hours drive from the house.
Distances
Can Cunill is ideally situated for exploring the entire Costa Brava region, and you needn't go far to find places of interest.
Girona, the Province´s historic capital city, is 30 kms away, but let´s keep in mind that northern Catalonia is so small and concentrated that you have the gorgeous Pyrenees mountains visible just 20 kms to the north and west, the Mediterrean coastline of long sandy and small cove beaches, fishing villages to the east, and Barcelona, Europe´s most vibrant city south.
Further details
The nearest hamlet is Esparra, a nice 2km walk up the road from Can Cunill, with excellent restaurant, Can Ferrer. Nearest shopping is in Riudarenes 4km, with supermarkets, bakery, wine shop, fishmonger, veggie market, and a few restaurants, etc.
Large American style supermarkets in nearby Santa Coloma (10km) and farmer´s market on Wednesdays, and discount supermarket Mercadona in Caldes (12km). Hipercor in Girona (20kms) and of course fish auctioned at fishing port in Blanes and other important ports on the Costa Brava. The house comes with lots of travel information and guidebooks on the region. We can recommend some good reads for you to consult before coming on holiday.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% of the total rental fee must be received to secure the booking. This can be made either by bank transfer directly to the caretaker, or for off-season bookings, deposits via VISA or Mastercard are acceptable.
The remaining 75% is due well ahead of your arrival, or in Euros cash upon arrival.
Cancellation policy: the deposit will only be returned when cancellation occurs one month before arrival date, or if we are able to substitute your booking with another.
