Casa Cañada is a comfortable Alpujarran house located in the old and quiet part of the white washed village of Bubión (1250m). This beautifully renovated 16th century house has many traditional features, ceilings with original chestnut beams and curved old walls of natural stones. It has 3 terraces with fantastic views of the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada, Moorish terraces and with further views of the Mediterranean sea towards Morocco.

| Living Rooms: | Large living room with table and 6 chairs, Dovre wood burning stove, 2 sofas, TV/DVD-system for playing DVDs (several well known movies on DVD available), CD system, books and games (English and Dutch). |
| Other: | We have provided an information point in the house with books, maps and various information about Bubión, the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarras. Large entrance hall with wash basin. Landing. |

Sheets, towels (changed once a week), and final clean are included in the price. |
Notes on accommodation
(Wireless) internet provided. Living room, bedrooms and bathroom have electric radiators. Wood burning stove and additional electric radiator in living room. Domestic animals are not allowed. Smoking is only allowed outside on one of the terraces or balcony. Additional heating costs from October until April: 50 euros per week.
Outside
3 terraces with sun and shade and beautiful views: 1 traditional terrace above the little street on the first floor, 1 large garden terrace and 1 roof terrace (both on the second floor). Tables, chairs, parasols and hammock provided.
Coast/Beach
It takes about an hour to drive to the beach (Salobreña).
Travel
Malaga airport is at 2¼ hours drive. Granada airport is 1¼ hour and Almeria airport is 2 hours.
You can get to Bubión by bus from Granada (twice a day), but we advise you to hire a car.
Parking your car near the house is possible. However, due to the small, steep streets in Bubión it is recommended that you park in the public parking area higher up in the village.
Further details
Bubión is a nice, small Alpujarran village. It is close to the Sierra Nevada National Park and has two supermarkets, plenty of bars and restaurants, nice little shops, a small museum, a cash machine and public transport. A public swimming pool is available in the nearby village Pitres (6km), open during the summer months.
Activities include hiking and trekking (GR-7 passes the house), horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing, canyoning. It takes about an hour to drive to the coast and to Granada, and 2 hours to the ski-resort (open approximately November – May). There is a Buddhist monastery at 30 mins drive from Bubión.
Booking notes
We ask a payment in advance of 50% of the rental price when you make a reservation more than 8 weeks in advance. The other 50% should be paid before arrival. When you reserve later, the total rental price needs to be paid in one term.
You are asked to leave the house as clean as possible (especially the kitchen).
