The resort boasts a social centre including a luxury heated pool, 2 bars, a restaurant, a hairdresser, free gym, floodlit tennis court, medical facilities, supermarket and a cashpoint. Also the 5 Star Intercontinental Hotel has bars and restaurants for use by the resort guests. The area is traditional Spanish, with many places of interest. The safe sandy beaches of the Mar Menor are just 5 minutes away by car. The shallow warm sea is ideal for young children.
The Mar Menor is the largest open-air Spa in Europe, renowned for its water sports and healing properties. At nearby Lo Pagan you can watch the locals take a mudbath or better still try it yourself. With something for all the family we can guarantee you will never be short of things to do.

Notes on accommodation
Tim and Wendy will receive you at the villa and show you arround. If you have questions they will help you. The villa is furnished to a very high standard to cater for all your holiday. There is full air conditioning downstairs for the summer and all rooms are centrally heated for the cooler months and have mosquito-blinds. Telephone for free internal calls arond the resort and for incoming calls. Internetfacilities on the resort. Please do not smoke inside the villa, however you can smoke outside on the terrace.The Villa has an alarm system and there is 24/7 security on site. If you require a stairgate we can provide it at additional costs.The cost of the departure clean is included. Neighbouring villas can be arranged if more than one group.

Outside
Large covered terrace accessed from either lounge or kitchen. Ideal for dining and entertaining.
There is a 8m x 5m fenced pool, by babysecur, in the garden with an area for sunbeds and playground.
NEW: The pool is covered, so the water temperature is 4 to 6 degrees higher. Now you can swim from the beginning of April till late in October.
The upstairs terrace (solarium) is equipped with two chairs, table and umbrella and has fabulous views over the fields and mountains. It is ideal for watching the wonderful sunsets.
Coast/Beach
The Costa Calida has a lot to offer. The Mar Menor with his safe sandy, blue flag rated beaches is just 5 minutes by car. It is a ideal beach for children and the water is warm, even in wintertime you can have a swim. The Mediterranean is not far a way for those who want high waves. There are lifeguards in most popular beach areas, and every night they clean the beaches. Famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Golf
The villa is situated on a fabulous 9 hole championship golf course resort, designed by Jack Nicklaus/Dave Thomas, with fair rates for guests, soon to be increased to 18. There are also many other golf courses in the area, including La Manga Club, Villamartin, Campoamor, Mosa Trajectum.
Skiing
In wintertime you can drive up to the beautiful Sierra Nevada, 2 hours away, for a day trip skiing.
Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia-San Javier which is a 10 minute drive away. Murcia airport is served by Southampton, Gatwick, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Manchester, Stansted and many other UK and European airports by lowcost air companies like Easy Jet, Ryan Air, flybe, monarch, bmibaby, Jet2fly. Look for a midweek flight. Alicante airport is approx. 45 minutes away. We would recommend that you hire a car to explore this traditional Spanish area. Transfer to and from the airport can be arranged.
Distances
Los Alcazares is about 5 minutes, offers traditional, coastal Spanish lifestyle with good restarurants, tapas bars, nightclub, also shops and supermarkets. Torre Pacheco is also a 5 minute drive and has shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The historic towns of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca are all close by and well worth a visit.

Babysitting, internet, telephone can be provided if required at additional costs. Transfer to and from the airport can be arranged. On site there is a well-stocked supermarket, restaurants and a poolside bar-restaurant. Also a 5* Hotel with luxury spa facilities. Room service/food delivery is available. The area offers a range of activiteis including cycling, horse riding, mountainbiking, sailing, kitesurfing, fishing, birdwatching, diving (Cabo de Palos), walking in national parks.

A deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking and the final payment is due 4 weeks before departure by bank transfer. No deposit required. The cost of the departure clean is included. There are no hidden costs. A cold bottle of Cava is waiting for you in the fridge.
