This delightfully restored Cortijo (farmhouse) is set in the pretty hamlet of Tijola, 5km from Orgiva 'Driving over Lemons' country. Nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada with beautiful mature gardens, there are wonderful views in all directions.  There are 3 completely self-contained casitas (cottages), 2 of which have connecting doors which offers a large 3 bed / 3 bath house. Granada and the Alhambra Palace can be reached in 55 minutes, and the beaches of the Costa Tropical in 35 minutes. There is a delightful small restaurant just 200m along the lane. We are well established (we welcomed our 1st guests in August 1998) and have lots of return guests and many recommendations to their family and friends. We are registered with the Turismo Rural Andalucia.

Large terraces and courtyard/patio shaded by citrus and olive trees (in season, pick your oranges and lemons). 10m x 5m swimming pool, barbecue for guests use. Use of washing machine.

Coast/Beach
Beaches at Salobrena/Motril 35 minutes.

Golf
On the coast there is a golf course at Motril.

Travel
Malaga airport is 2 hours drive.
Granada airport 1 hour from Feb 2005.
Car hire is recommended (taxis can be arranged).

Further details
Tijola is a pretty hamlet of white washed houses and dazzling flowers. Orgiva is 5km away, where there are supermarkets, banks with ATM's, bars and restaurants. On Thursdays there is a bustling street market. In spring the mountains are a riot of colourful flowers and herbs and their perfume fills the air. In winter we are 1.5 hours from the Sierra Nevada ski resorts, a drive through stunning scenery.

There is wonderful countryside for walking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, paragliding, birdwatching and 'doing nothing'. There is a waterpark at Almunecar. The Alhambra Palace in Granada, with its breathtakingly beautiful gardens, is one of the great wonders of the world.

Booking notes
A deposit of 20% is payable when booking with the balance due 6 weeks before your holiday. Should you have to cancel following a firm booking, we will do our best to re-let. However, we recommend cancellation insurance should we not be able to do so.
