Our villa is a modern property set in a quiet secluded rural setting with 3 bedrooms all with en-suites. A large terrace & swimming pool with changing room, shower & toilet alongside. Sunbeds and towels are provided. A fully fitted American kitchen for guests to use for self catering is next to the pool. Set in the garden is a covered gazebo where you can sit and relax. Access to the beaches of Calpe,Javea etc 15-25 mins away. Benidorm is 30 minutes drive with the attractions of Mundomar, Aqualandia, Terra Mitica and Terra Natura. Popular walking,cycling,climbing area.Trips into the hills of Bernia a must. Jalon, Benissa and other local villages and towns boast many tapas bars and restaurants.Benidorm Palace, theatres and night clubs 30 mins. Beautiful golf courses surround the area. Calpe and other beach resorts offer watersports. Visit and browse through many local markets. Or stay and relax around the villa and pool, then cook in the outside kitchen or use the BBQ next to the pool.

We are flexible about changeover days. Arrivals and departures we will meet your requirements if possible.
Notes on accommodation
The lounge/dining room has internet access with WiFi and a log burning fire for those cooler evenings. Small library and video games.
Private entrance to the rear for guest bedrooms is available with own key. Other services available, eg babysitting, taxi service, airport runs,washing machine and dryer available at small cost. The villa has central heating and circulating fans in all rooms.
Accessibility
Our villa is raised above our flat surrounding garden and terrace area by 8 wide steps with balustrades on both sides.
Access to the rear of the property is by 6 steps.
Outside
The private swimming pool is10x5m and is 1 metre deep at the steps,the last 4m shelving to 2m deep. A outside fully equipped kitchen has a oven,hob, microwave oven and fridge next to a changing room for the pool,with a toilet and shower alongside. These are situated at the end of the pool together with a BBQ. Sunbathing loungers, chairs and 3 tables are provided. There is shaded area by the pool or on the patio/naya overlooking the pool. Board games and pool lilos available. The pool area is private and has a large terrace covered with non-slip tiles. A utility room with washing machine and drier (small charge) is situated below the villa floor. In the garden is a large covered gazebo where you can sit and relax with a book or drink. Next to the pool is a French Boules court for the more energetic. New (2011) at the rear of the property overlooking the hills is a 1st floor lounge with TV and DVD,opening the large patio doors on to the balcony gives a sunbathing terrace.
Coast/Beach
Calpe 15 mins by car has a beautiful sandy beach with children’s play area, loungers, covered area and restaurants along the front. Moraira-20 mins by car is small and quaint with its marina surrounded by many restaurants. Javea - 25 mins by car has a large sandy beach with shops and restaurants on the front. Denia is the largest resort with a large beach, fishing harbour, large marina, castle with spectacular views and is the main port for trips to the Balearic Islands. Benidorm 30 mins by car.
Golf
Many golf courses in the area to choose from which are open all year round.
Special interest holidays
Organised and independent walks, hiking, safari, cycling, scuba diving, sailing and water sports available. Large number of climbing areas within short distance and fiestas virtually all year at different venues. Local and area maps are available.
Travel
Alicante Airport 70km / 1 hour drive. Valencia approx 100km / 1 hour 15 mins drive. Car would be advisable to explore the area although coach and train services are excellent and inexpensive. We will pick you up from the airport and can hire cars locally.Trains run locally to Valencia where you can get a connection to the EURO MED train to Barcelona

Booking notes
Rates 55-60 euros per room per night.Christmas/New Year 65 euros. A 25% deposit is required by bank transfer (confirmation of booking will be given on transfer arrival). No refund given on deposits. Final payment to be made in cash (euros) during stay. If exclusive use of all facilities is required (not all rooms are taken but no other guests to be present) with housekeeping and breakfast, contact Roy and Iris Lees on villa numbers or e-mail. Welcome to Arco Iris, we would like to welcome you to Spain and into our home! We are a Derbyshire couple who have been running our bed and breakfast for 6 years. We pride ourselves on our relaxed and flexible approach. Our aim is to offer you a service that we ourselves would like to expect. Our guests soon learn to relax in our home and company and over the years we have made many new friends and have a large percentage of return guests. Our Villa is very private and in a quiet location and is perfect for that "get away from it all" holiday. We welcome families and couples alike and encourage the use of our facilities, ie the pool, sun terrace and fully fitted outdoor kitchen. We will try to make your stay the most comfortable ever and meet any requests where possible.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
Beautiful location in the Jalon valley with wonderful surroundings and friendly villages. We lived in England in the beautiful Peak National Park and choose this area because of its rural setting and surrounding hills. Although rural we are near to busy Benidorm -30 minutes by car or the quieter coastal areas of Calpe and Javea which are l5 to 20 minutes away by car. Lliber -our village across from the vineyards is small, unspoilt and very Spanish with many local characters. The scenery changes with the seasons and we have spectacular sunsets. In February the valley is awash with colour with the almond blossom and in Sept is filled with the smell of newly picked grapes in the carts being taken to be processed. The Bernia mountain range is at the back of the villa with a wide range of walks
Unique benefits of the property
Here at Arco Iris there are always things to do such as taking a gentle stroll, going to the fiestas or swimming in the sea. To relax, there is a beautiful pool just outside your bedroom with a outside kitchen for your use. A glass of wine can be appreciated under the shade of our thatched roof gazebo in the garden. Last but not least, there is also a French Boules Court at the side of the swimming pool! The pool and sun terraces are very popular with our guests and there is a new (2011)sun terrace/lounge with TV/DVD at 1st floor level overlooking the hills where you can sit and relax. You can walk, climb, horse riding, water sports etc, all within short trips by car. For families, Benidorm boasts several theme and water parks. Many guests benefit from our relaxed and flexible approach.
