The villa is situated midway between Valencia and Alicante. Situated on small, quiet private development with panoramic views to the Med. Close by are the charming atmospheric villages of Rafol, Tormos, Benidoleig etc. Known collectively as the ‘Rectoria’. The villa is on a small hillside development, it is private and well equipped. Private swimming pool with terrace. It is 20 minutes drive from blue flag beaches. There are 3 international golf courses within 15 minutes drive. The larger towns of Denia. Pego and Oliva are within easy reach by car.

Changeover day
During high season weekly bookings are Saturday to Saturday. However, we are flexible with other periods. Arrival time to be arranged at booking. We ask that guests vacate the villa by 10am.

Further small room suitable for child with foldaway bed.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with modern suite, WC, bath/shower over and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: Electric oven, gas hob, mains gas, so no cumbersome gas bottles, extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker.
Utility Room: Washing machine and second fridge for drinks etc.
Living Rooms: Lounge with two large sofas. TV, DVD, CD player, open fireplace (log fires in winter), coffee tables and a selection of CDs, films and games etc.
French doors leading to upper terrace.
Other: Covered terrace leading off the lounge with dining table, chairs. Panoramic views to the Mediterranean.
Cellar room with pool table.

Beach and pool towels, bedding, bath and hand towels provided. The villa is cleaned to a high standard before and after each let.

Sunny pool terrace with loungers. Private 6 x 3m pool with roman steps (sole use of guests). Maintained weekly. Pool toys. Covered terrace leading off the living area, with breakfast table and easy chairs to make the most of the panoramic views. To the rear of the villa is a pleasant, shady dining area with barbecue and paella ring.

Coast/Beach
20 miles of blue flag beaches extend from Denia (20 mins away) to the north, head south and the rocky coves provide excellent scuba sites. Javea 12km.

Golf
La Sella Golf (Denia) and Oliva Nova (Oliva) both 18 hole 72 par golf courses within 20 mins drive.

Skiing
Javalhambre ski resort is 3 hours away by car.

Travel
Alicante 1 hour. Valencia 1 hour. Car hire essential (approx £20 per day).

Distances
Local Spanish village of Rafol d'Almunia is a 5 min drive through the orange groves, bakery, shop bank and bar. Denia with pavement cafes, smart shops, indoor market and quayside fish market, restaurants and nightlife 20 mins.
Within easy reach of the villa is the 20 mile stretch of coastline, there are pleasant secluded beach bars, restaurants, and deserted stretches of beach.
There is also a windsurfing school.

Further details
The traditional local towns and villages such as Pego, or Orba have lots of traditional bars and restaurants situated in pleasant town squares, With 'menu del dia' an inexpensive 3 course lunch/dinner which is offered in all restaurants.
In nearby Ondara about 15 mins from Villa is the new shopping complex -Las Marinas- which offers a big supermarket and lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a free wi fi service here. plus bowling and a cinema complex. which offers an English film on weekends There are two excellent water parks within easy drive- Aqualandia at Benidorm another at Cullera approx 40 mins north of villa. The lively resort of Benidorm, and the theme park of Terramitica are within 40 mins easy drive. In contrast a beautiful mountain drive will take you to the mountain village and castle of Guadalest or a trip to Fonts D'Algar where you can walk behind a waterfall and jump into icy streams. Javea is a lovely resort -Arenal beach with beautiful sand , pedalos and motorboat hire. At night market stalls and a wide range of restaurants from the cheap and cheerful Scallops to more exclusive restaurants.
The nearby town of Jalon has a fascinating Saturday morning "flea market" selling everything from sunglasses to antiques. All towns and villages have weekly produce markets- our favourites being Pego (Friday morning) and Jalon (Thursday morning).
A local train service from Gandia or Xeraco (easy parking here)has a service to Valencia every 20 minutes Approx 8 euros. Valencia is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. Hop on the tour bus and have a look at all the sights and wonderful architecture including the huge bull ring just outside the station, or a visit to the marine life centre.

A 20% non-returnable deposit is required when the booking is made. The balance of 80% is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival date.
