Coast/Beach
The Mar Menor is a delightful area and offers something for everyone. For active sports enthusiasts, the sailing is wonderful, the diving (there is a diving school in Los Alcazares) is thought to be amongst the best in Europe. Los Alcazares is 10 minutes drive away and the family friendly beach was awarded the blue flag standard for cleanliness.
Golf
The villa is situated on a 9 hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas, this is soon to become 18 holes. There is also a driving range and putting green. La Torre, another Polaris development opens in December 2006 which will provide a further 18 hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Transportation between the courses is to be provided. Numerous other courses exist nearby such as the La Manga Club, Las Ramblas, Campoamar, Villa Martin and Mosa Trajectum.
Travel
Nearest airport is Murcia San Javier a mere 15 minute drive or Alicante is 45 minutes by car. All amenities on the resort are a 3 minute walk away but to see the area outside a car is recommended and we can suggest reliable and cost effective companies.
Distances
The Mar Menor Golf Resort is perfectly situated for exploring the many delights the Murcia region has to offer. Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares are equidistant (5 minute drive) and both towns boast tapas bars, cafes, and good restaurants. The historic city of Murcia is 30 kms away whilst Cartagena Spain's oldest Roman port is 20 kms. There are beaches, national parks nearby all worth a visit.

This gated resort offers 24 hour security. On the resort and within a 3 minute walk of the villa is a 5* Intercontinental Hotel with Spa and next door the social club offers an excellent restaurant, 2 bars, and a communal pool, gym, hairdressers, medical centre, cash point, supermarket providing food and drink at reasonable prices.
Booking notes
A £200 security deposit is required when booking to confirm. This will be refunded when the villa has been fully inspected for any damage and the key is returned. The full payment is required 8 weeks prior to departure. Cancellations up to 6 weeks prior to departure will be subject to a 50% refund thereafter no refund can be offered.
