Situated just opposite Miraflores and midway between Marbella and Fuengirola, the Rocas complex is accessed via a secure gateway onto a new car park. The block is just a few paces to the beach and when sitting on the lounge terraces one could be mistaken for feeling they are on a cruise liner, a fantastic view of palm trees and sea.

Changeover day
Arrival and departure days are not specific. Departure times are normally between 10 - 12 noon depending on follow-on bookings, flight times etc. Flexibility agreed.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, twin bedside tables with lamps, fitted wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a south facing window.
Bedroom 2 has twin single beds, bedside lamp, a small drawer chest, fitted wardrobe and a double glazed window.
Bed linen, hand & bath towels are supplied.
Bathroom with full size bath with shower attachment and a handle support. WC, hand basin set into a vanity unit with large wall mirror & triple light assembly, sliding window with blind.
There is also a separate closet with WC and basin.
Kitchen has a tall fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric oven, hob & extractor fan. Crockery, cutlery, cooking pans and utensils are all included.
Lounge/dining room is equipped with communal satellite TV, new sound system and a separate radio/cassette. A cushioned cane settee & 2 chairs with matching wall unit, dining table with 4 chairs + small table. There is a full width glazed-in terrace facing south, through sliding doors from the lounge.

The main bedroom has a double bed, twin bedside tables, cooling fan and a fitted wardrobe with a floor safe. A glass door leads into a small utility room that has a large window facing south. This room comfortably takes an extra single bed. The other bedroom has twin single beds, cooling fan, small table & fitted wardrobe.
Bed linen, hand & bath towels are included.
The large bathroom has a full sized bath with shower attachment, WC, & bidet. There are twin hand basins set into a long vanity unit, a sliding window & venitian blinds.
The kitchen is equipped with an automatic washing machine, a tall Fridge-Freezer, microwave, electric oven & hob. Crockery, cutlery, cooking pans & utensils are all included.
The lounge-dining room has a comfortable sofa, 2 chairs, a small cabinet, dining table & chairs. There is satellite TV, VCR and radio.
Sliding patio doors open onto the sea facing glazed-in terrace complete with patio furniture.

This aprt is on the 1st floor and has nobody below. The main bedroom has a double bed, twin bedside tables with lamps, tall drawer chest and a fitted wardrobe complete with floor safe.
The other bedroom has twin single beds, bedside chests with lamps, fitted wardrobe and small drawer chest. Both bedrooms have cooling fans. Bed linen, hand & bath towels supplied.
Lounge/dining room is furnished with matching 3 & 2 seater sofas, corner display unit & tall drawer unit + coffee table.
Sliding patio doors lead onto the glazed-in terrace with cushioned sunbeds, table & 4 chairs.
There is a large L shaped bathroom, the bath having a shower attachment. Twin hand basins are set into a double vanity unit with large mirror & lights. The WC is next to a tall built-in airing cupboard. The bathroom has 2 windows.
The apartment's kitchen is equipped with tall Fridge/Freezer, auto washing machine, microwave, electric oven and gas hob.
Glasses, crockery, cooking pans & utensils are supplied.

 

Notes on accommodation
There are portible ventilator fans in each bedroom. Radiators are supplied in the cooler periods, as are blankets and duvets.
The apartments are cleaned just prior to occupation, all beds made up, towels in bathroom and wardrobes. There is a spare set of bedding and towels for each week. There isn't a mid-term cleaning service as the apartments are self-contained.

Outside
Rocas del Mar gardens are beautifully maintained as are the communal swimming pools, 2 large and 1 baby pool. There is a pretty garden bar/restaurant open 6 days a week all year round & live music once a week in the summer. Many outside thatched umbrellas,with rope lights,over patio tables/chairs (15 paces to the beach). There's also a tennis court.

Coast/Beach
Rocas del Mar means 'rock by the sea' but last year 100's of tons of sand were pumped from the shallows up onto the beach so now we have the best of both worlds - fishing on the rocks & lying on the beach. From Rocas you can walk to other sandy beaches both to East and west including, of course, the various 'Chiringitos' (beach bars).

Golf
The golf courses in the Mijas Costa area really are far too numerous to mention - the area is a golfers paradise. La Cala Golf is one of the most famous, 7km away, Miraflores Golf 2km, Siesta Golf 2km, Cabopino Golf is 3km etc.

Travel
Malaga aerport is 33km east of Rocas (25 mins drive). A Taxi will charge approx 40 euros (£28/£30). A hire car is not essential as the local bus service is both regular and cheap and there is so much activity in the immediate area - go by bus, return by taxi.

West of Rocas is Marbella 17km, Puerto Banus 22km, East of Rocas is Fuengirola 8km, Benalmadena 23km, La Cala village 2km, Mijas village 13km.

Booking notes
Booking will require £150 deposit paid into a UK bank.
Bal to be arranged by telephone. Also, a security deposit of £100 is required on arrival, to cover damage/breakages during your stay. This will be refunded, after an inspection, upon departure.
