Shops, bars & restaurants situated nearby. A long, sandy beach is approx. 1km away, an easy stroll along the riverbank. Only minutes from the centre of town with a wider selection of restaurants, bars and shopping. Well placed for several top quality golf courses. The property is owned and managed by English people.

Notes on prices
Bedding is £8 per person and towels £8 per person (1 hand & 1 bath per person). Preparation of the property and final clean is £70 (payable at time of booking). Travel cot and buggy available for €15 per week (excludes provision of bedding). Bicycles available for hire. The property is available all year round and includes air-conditioning for the summer periods. Heating cost applies for winter bookings between October and May. Contact the owner regarding long term booking discounts.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival from 4pm, departure 10am.

Notes on accommodation
The property has double glazing, central heating and air conditioning. As there is a secure garden and the property is on one level, it is suitable for children and pets but care should be taken around the pool as the depth at the deep end is 2 metres.
Accessibility
The property is on one level but access is via 3 steps, which may make it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is a large, secure mature garden with shrubs, olive and palm trees, private swimming pool 3.5 x 7.5m, patio area with sunbeds. Terrace has dining table with 6 chairs and electric grill for outside barbecues.
Coast/Beach
The main, long, sandy beach is 1km (2 minutes by car) but a pleasant walk along the riverside. There is a smaller beach which is shallow and suitable for small children, and a 'wild' beach which is great for windsurfers. There are also several other beaches in the nearby resorts of San Pere Pescador, Santa Margarita, Roses, Canyelles Petites and Almadrava.
Golf
This area is a golfer's paradise, being within easy reach of several quality golf courses: Peralada 7km, Torremirona 25km, Girona 45km, Pals 35km, and Castello d'Empuries - pitch and putt with driving range (5 minutes).
Skiing
The nearest ski resorts of Nuria and Vallter 2000 are approximately 1.5 hours drive.
Special interest holidays
Sailing charters are available - further details available at the property. Also available are tandem parachute jumps and scuba diving courses for the more adventurous. Bicycle hire available.
Travel
Nearest Airport - Girona (60km), Perpignan - France (75km), Barcelona (130km), Channel Port of Calais (approx. 12 hours). Car hire is not essential as we can arrange collection from the airport (please request at time of booking) but recommended if you wish to explore the area.
For example, from Girona - 60 euros (up to 4 people) and 15 euros per person above (maximum of 6 persons).
Distances
Next nearest town is the historic medieval town of Castello d'Empuries (5 minutes). Figueres with the famous Dali museum and train links to Girona (20 minutes) and Barcelona (1 hour 40 minutes) is 15km, the historic walled city of Girona is 45km, Cadaques, with the Dali house at Port Lligat, is 20km, the French border is 30 minutes, and Perpignan 1 hour.
Further details
There is a good selection of shops, several large supermarkets, bakers, banks, restaurants and bars in Empuriabrava. Daily English newspapers are widely available, and supermarkets stock a wide range of produce to cater for overseas visitors. Numerous water sports are available on the main beach, including windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, boating, kite surfing, fishing etc. Other sports include parachuting, scuba diving, horse riding, cycling, walking, tennis, go-karting, ten pin bowling and much more. There is a large Aqua park just a 10 minute drive away claiming to have the largest wave pool in Europe (free bus service from Empuriabrava). There are some beautiful areas to explore outside of the resort and you will find further information at the property with some suggestions about places of interest worth visiting.
Booking notes
Bookings can be made by e-mail (preferable) or telephone. We require 50% deposit at time of booking, by bank transfer, with the balance being paid 8 weeks before arrival. A returnable security deposit of £200 is taken at time of booking, which will be returned into your bank account after your departure.
