City gates of the Torres des Serranos leading into the historic city and cosmopolitan and most endearing 'in area' of El Carmen a mere 5/6 mins walk with its resplendant marbled plazas surrounded by fine tapas bars, choice restaurants and later Spain's renowned nightlife. The finest cultural attractions etc are no more then 15 mins walk away. The apartment offers ease and convenience to enjoy the best of it. The iconic City of Arts and Science just a 20-25 mins walk through the 9km Jardines del Turia - a 'must see' and is Valencia's cultural jewel for opera, premier orchestra, and performing arts, and Europe's largest arts a sciences and Oceanographic.

Take advantage of cheap mid-week flights for a bargain break. 50% reservation payment to book either euros/sterling or 'Pay Pal' -incurs small handling charge of 3-4%. Refundable on departure security deposit of 200 euros.
Changeover day
Flexible. Arrival times after 1pm any day. Latest 22.00 unless agreed otherwise small late arrival of €20.

Ramps in the building entrance for prams etc and convenient fast lift service.
Outside
Street bars and cafes outside the apartment. Tuesday weekly street market across the road. Great for rummaging for those bargains. The city's most delightful outdoor pool set in sub-tropical gardens at 'La Hipica' club just 5 mins along the road (Adults 3 euros and children 1 euros) Open 1 July - early Sept'. Royal Viveros gardens Valencia's most elegant and enchanting park with Zoological gardens and great terraced cafes etc just 5 mins walk away. Childrens safe play area opposite the apt under the shade of Palm trees with slides etc. Metro terminus of Sagunto is a direct 3 mins walk from the apartment. Buy a 'bonometro' for 5.85 euros and each metro trip is just 58c excellent for nipping down to the beach and a bite to eat at one of the many excellent restaurants. Metro to airport for 1.85 euros.
On-street parking closest proximity to Historic City. Old City parking invloves frequent €200 plus tow-aways.
Coast/Beach
15 mins by direct metro to the City 'Blue flag' sandy beach of Malverossa. Safe bathing with beach guards. El Saler by far the best beach is a little further. 40 mins by bus (bus leaves from nearby cathedral 10/12 mins walk) 20 mins car. Sandy and very long with lovely duned back-drop. Great for a real-away day from the city. Excellent choice of bars and restaurants.
Golf
Valencia's premier course at El Saler beach 15/20 mins by car. Betera 'La Calderona' 15 mins countryside course with lovely mountain backdrop.
Skiing
Javalambre and Valdeneres 90 mins by car. Skiing at 2000m. Limited with just 7/8km runs each resort but go in the week and pack-in some seriously good skiing. Great for a day out. Check out www.javalambre.com for latest snow conditions. Open Dec 1st - March 31st.
Premier skiing at Formigal/Bequiera 5 hours.
Travel
Valencia city airport just 15 - 20 mins by taxi about 20 euros. Metro service now available allow 45 mins and just 1.85€ and then 3/4 mins walk. All main Spanish City connections just 1.5km. Trains 2.5km. Port 3.5km. Free on-street parking.
Distances
Sagunto - Roman ampi-theatre by train 15 mins. Also imposing vast Roman fortress in Sagunto. Car about 20 mins. Roman Aqua-duct and caverns hewn out for water-course at Calles about 1 hour. Charming coastal resorts of Denia, Calpe, Altea etc 1.5 hours.

Check out Spain's foremost dynamic city with ease and convenience. Direct metro link to the August 2008 Grand Prix city circuit. Afterwards take a stroll along the esplanade and try some delicious tapas or full lunch/dinner at one of the many smart beach-side restaurants. Good safe sandy family beach with safe bathing areas.
