The village of Saleres is possibly the most sleepy village in the Lecrin valley and is easily accessible. The nearest shops are in nearby Albunuelas but listen out for the sounds of the car horns of the local traders as all sorts of produce such as bread and fish are sold in the nearby square daily. The property is of good standard with many traditional features. It is spacious and comfortable throughout. The fabulous views can be seen throughout all the rooms bar the second bedroom and they are best seen from the sizeable private roof terrace. There are many walks to do around the village and other villages to explore in the Lecrin. Granada is only 30 minutes away by car as are the pleasant coastal resorts of Salobrena and Almunecar. Also 30 minutes away is the beginning of the Alpujarras, the pretty villages tucked away in the folds of the Sierra Nevada mountain valleys. Car parking within 50 metres of house.

Notes on accommodation
Two wood burners and gas heaters. The high house does have three floors plus roof. The stairs are safe with handrails but possibly unsuitable for very young children.
Outside
Roof terrace with table and chairs. Very spacious and private with stunning views overlooking orange groves, also can see the Sierra Nevada.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are at Salobrena and Almunecar. These are 35 and 45 minute drives respectively. Both resorts are charming, low key and popular with Spanish tourists. Nerja is just over an hour drive away.
Golf
Golf courses to be found near Nerja about 1 1/4 hour drive.
Skiing
A 45 minute journey to skiing and snowboarding in the Sierra Nevada.
Special interest holidays
Good carp fishing in the nearby lake. Permits can be arranged. Plenty of birdwatching, and listening to bird song from the terrace.
Travel
Granada Airport is a 35 minute drive. Malaga Airport is 1 3/4 hours drive. Almeria Airport is 2 1/2 hours drive.
Car hire is advised although there are bus services to the
village from Granada.
Distances
The nearest villages, Albunuelas and Talara are a 5 minute drive away. Durcal a market town is 15 minutes drive away. Granada centre is a 30 minute drive away. The Alpujarran town of Lanjaron is a 20 minute drive away. The picturesque high Alpujarras are an hour drive away.
Further details
There are supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks with ATMs and fuel stations throughout the Lecrin valley. There is first class shopping in Granada and The Alpujarras is good for foodstuffs and and crafts e.g. traditional rugs.
