Families with children are very welcome at Buena Vista, a house on the edge of the lower barrio of Albunuelas. It sleeps 5 with one double and one twin bedded room, One room with large single bed, two bathrooms, satellite TV, a wonderful large terrace looking across the Rio Santo Gorge and the Sierra de Albunuelas and an upper terrace with far-reaching views along the valley. It is beautifully furnished and the open plan living area has comfortable seating, a wood burning stove, a separate dining area and a well equipped kitchen with larder and washing machine. There is a small walled patio outside the kitchen with a dining table, but most guests will want to remain on one of the two terraces to make the most of the views. Car access to the door is not possible but parking is very close by in the square.

| Kitchen: | The kitchen is well equipped with a view into the courtyard garden. It has an electric oven/grill, a gas hob, a fridge freezer and an additional fridge. |
| Utility Room: | The larder/utility room is off the kitchen and contains a washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: | The focal point of the living room is the wood burning stove. There is a sofa and 4 armchairs together with satellite TV and a DVD player. The dining room features a table made from the original doors to the house and which seats 8/10 and a CD player. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Clean towels and bedlinen are included and spares are available if required but please ensure that the original set(s) are washed if spares are used. Towels and bedlinen will be laundered after your departure. The house is cleaned before and after use. |
Notes on accommodation
Every effort is made to make this a home from home. Beach towels are available. There is a selection of toys and games for all ages. A travel cot is kept in the house together with a booster seat which fastens on to the dining chairs. There are no stair gates but improvisations can be made. There are a number of electric fans for use in summer and electric heaters for the winter months. An iron and ironing board is provided.
As we are registered with the Tourist Department are agent on your arrival will need to take details of your Passport.

Accessibility
There is no parking in front of the house. There ia a small step down to the front door but once inside the ground floor is accessible. There are stairs to the first floor. As we are in the lower part of the village a car would be essental.
Outside
The house is entered through a small courtyard. To the rear of the house on the ground floor is a courtyard garden. An inflatable paddling pool is available and can be placed here (not to be used on the terraces). On the first floor there is a very large terrace with dining table, chairs and loungers. The higher roof terrace has recently been installed to give occupants a stunning view of the valley.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are to be found on the Costa Tropical.
The coastal town of Salobrena with its historic castle and beach restaurants is a 40 minute drive.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses in the surrounding area. Motril has a 9 hole course called Los Moriscos which is being extended to 18 holes and in the Granada area there is an 18 hole course, the Granada Club de Golf in Las Gabias.
Skiing
The Sierra Navada ski resort is about one hour away. More information on this can be found on their web site.
Travel
Malaga airport is approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours away and direct flights now go from Gatwick, Stansted and Liverpool to Granada airport which is approximately 40 minutes away. Although most essentials can be bought in the village and there is a bus to Granada we would regard car hire or the use of a car as necessary.
Distances
The spa town of Lanjarron is a 25 minute drive and beyond is the market twon of Orgiva and the Alpujarras.
Further details
Buena Vista is situated on the edge of the lower barrio of Albunuelas, overlooking the orange and olive groves of the Rio Santo Gorge. From the terraces you can enjoy the view and watch eagles soaring overhead. There are many walks from the village and escorted walks or horse riding can be arranged.
Albunuelas has several shops including two general stores and a pharmacy. There is a bank, bars and a restaurant and a street market operates on Thursday mornings. Bread is available from a van twice daily and fruit, vegetables and fish can also be purchased from vans which visit during the week. There is a larger range of shops in nearby Durcal.
