The property is built on the natural rock of Salobreña and is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac of the Old Town. It has been completely refurbished to a high standard combining modern comfort and chic design with local, rustic character. On the first floor there is an open plan kitchen with dining area, a large modern living area with a comfortable built-in sofa and a small terrace perfect for alfresco dining. The original stone wall is a beautiful feature of the property. Downstairs, two quiet bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, a slate tiled bathroom and a utility room. Because of it's East orientation the Poniente winds don't affect it, ensuring calm, cool nights. Being built on the slope of the mountain has the surprising effect of keeping a very pleasant temperature both in summer and winter. There is easy access with the car up to the front door and there are plenty of parking spaces outside. A local supermarket is conviently located within yards of the property.

Towels and bed linen are included. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. When booking for more than a week only change of bed linen and a general cleaning is included in the price rent. If extra cleaning is wanted it can be arranged. |
Notes on accommodation
Unsuitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair, as the property has two sets of stairs.
Outside
Two simple wooden tables & 4 chairs are just perfect to sit and read or eat in the terrace. As we get the morning sun, the terrace is nice and cool in the evenings.
Coast/Beach
The property is conveniently situated 10 minutes walk from the local beach, popular with young people and famlilies. There are many other beaches along the coast. Although beautiful and quiet, most beaches in the area are pebble beaches, so take your waterproof sandals with you!
Golf
Los Moriscos beachside golf course near Motril is just a 5 minute drive away. There are many more golf courses towards Malaga.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada, Europe's most southerly ski resort, is 70 minutes drive from Salobreña.
Travel
Malaga airport: 75 minutes drive
Granada airport: 60 minutes
Almeria airport: 75 minutes
Taxis are available at airports and Salobreña, car hire is recommended but not essential.

Further details
The property is 1 minute away of a small local supermarket. 5 minutes walk downhill there are banks with cash machines, larger supermarkets, chemists, newsagents, bars etc. There will be a sheet of paper in the property with personal recommendations on the best places to eat in Motril, Salobreña and Almuñecar, as well as best beaches around the area, day trips to nearby towns, and telephone numbers you might need.

We had a great time in Salobrena, its a lovely town and we found the flat to be quiet, peaceful and very comfortable.
