Apartment with a large roof terrace and sea views in the centre of a unique and very Spanish village. Situated in the quieter, residential part of San Jose, it is only 5 minutes walk to all the bars, restaurants and beaches. The new Alboran Golf Course is 20 minutes away, but within one hour's drive you have a good range of courses including the Indiana Course at Desert Springs. We have lots of information about the golf available, so please contact the owner if you want to know more. It is a 5 minute walk to the main beaches, but it is worth the extra 10 minutes to walk to the spectacular beaches of Genoveses and Monsul, as seen in many Hollywood films.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning will keep you cool in the summer, and warm air heating plus mobile heaters will keep the evening chill off during the winter months.
Accessibility
The apartment is on split levels, with steps from the front door to the lounge, and again to the second bedroom.
Coast/Beach

Travel
Almeria International Airport is 30 minutes easy drive away. Alicante, Murcia and Granada are also within striking distance, and these airports have many flights from the regional airports in the UK and Europe.
Distances
Two hours drive to Granada and the amazing Alhambra Palace. An extra half an hour will find you in the ski resort of Sol Y Nieve - how about skiing in the morning and sunbathing in the afternoon?

About the owner
I've been living here with my partner in San Jose for nearly 10 years, just around the corner from this apartment which I bought about 5 years ago. We get great pleasure in sharing our love of this unique area with our guests, recommending beaches, bars and restaurants, and we're always on hand for advice or in case of problems. We're also pretty good on the tapas bars of Almeria - the "Philip and Nina Tapas Run" has become very popular!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose San Jose as it is still one of the most remarkable and unique places in Europe.
Unspoilt, truly Spanish, yet just 30 minutes from an International Airport.
The weather helps of course - the only desert in Europe and with more sunshine hours than almost anywhere else. Combine this with great food and drink, atmosphere, friendly people and outstanding scenery, and the result is a very special place indeed.
