Villa Esparragueras is conveniently located by tarmac road (no dirt tracks). Just a ten minute drive from the pictureque 'white village' of Competa, a traditional Spanish village (the real Spain) with a good selection of first class restaurants, tapas bars, super-markets and not forgetting the weekly market. The villa is extremely private, with trees and or wall/ballustrad around it. No one overlooks. For anxious parents, the pool is directly in front of the villa, so you will be able to keep an eye on the children at all times. The villa and the terraces are on one level. The pool has safe roman styled steps down, Ideal for the timid to sit and dip ones toes.

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Both bedrooms have floor to ceiling fitted wardrobes and ceiling fans. In winter there are electric blankets to keep you cosy! |

| Living Rooms: | The lounge with beamed ceilings boasts air conditioning and ceiling fans and a wood burning stove. Included are: satellite television, DVD player, CD player, radio and board games for your enjoyment. There are two full size and good quality sofa beds. |

All bed linen kitchen and bathroom towels are included. You will need to bring your own beach/pool towels. The bed linen and towels will of course be cleaned for arrival and contact details for further cleaning are provided at the villa. |
Notes on accommodation
Norwegian wood burning stove in lounge. ‘Welcome packs’ are available upon request. There are three sets of outdoor furniture: One wooden table and four chairs, with parasol and the other being a rattan set, table and 4 chairs, normally placed under the covered terrace by the pool Also a large rectangular dining table, parasol and 6 chairs at the barbeque area. Also 5 sun loungers. Bath and shower towels are inluded, but not beach and pool towels. All bed linen is included. The bed linen and towels will be cleaned for arrival - contact details for further cleaning are provided. The pool is cleaned twice weekly. No pets allowed.

Outside
From the dining room the patio doors open out onto a
covered arched terrace, next to the pool, where you can eat ‘al-fresco’. From the 8 x 3 metre heated pool, the huge balustraded terrace (big enough for a game of badminton) extends and incorporates the barbeque area and lead to the gardens on each side.
The villa has plenty of seating and sun loungers for you to use, either by the pool terraces or the more shaded areas.
Coast/Beach
Torre del Mar is one of the main touristic resorts of the Costa del Sol. Located in the eastern part of the Coast, the town is the beach resort of Vélez-Málaga, capital of the Axarquia region. The town is well known for its four kilometres of wide sandy beaches flanked by a long beachfront promenade with pretty views along the coast and of the hills and mountains behind dotted with white houses and villages.
Golf
The nearest golf course is only 30 minutes drive away at Baviera Golf, Caleta where 18 holes would cost you no more than £30. The Baviera Golf course is situated between the mountains of the Sierra Tejeda and the ocean at Caleta de Velez. You can see the peak of Mount Maroma in the background, often covered in snow during the colder of the winter months, and as you turn you can see the beautiful sea and beaches of Caleta.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevadas is 2 hours away. Sierra Nevada´s ski courses have been designed by European and American specialists, guaranteeing superb conditions for the skier. With a total of 61 kilometers spread over 39 runs, plus 6 sensational off-course trails, Sierra Nevada offers the visitor a wide choice of activities.
One of the Sierra Nevada´s most exciting features, night skiing was introduced in 1994 with lighting along the El Rio slope (3km/545 vertical drop) and for the first time this year, the Slalom course (1,100m vertical drop).
Skiing and lift schedules are established according to the time of sunset. However, a minimum of an extra two hours of skiing will be available along a freshly groomed course.
Travel
Airports: Malaga 84km/52 miles 50 minutes journey time.
Granada 209km/130 miles 2.5 hours. The nearest ferry port is Malaga 84km/52 miles 50 mins. A car is essental.
Distances
The Villa is just a 50 minutes drive from Malaga airport, a short distance (10 minutes) from the white washed village of Competa, known locally as the 'Pearl of the Axarquia'. Easily approached by a good tarmac road. (Many villas in the area have long, pot holed dirt roads that require a 4x4). It is ideally situated within easy driving distance of the coast as well as the villages of Competa, Archez and Canillas de Albaida. The popular resort of Nerja is 20km away. Granada & the Alhambra Palace.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required to secure bookings. Payment should be made in full 2 months prior to booking period. Also a £150 refundable deposit is required for any damages and a £30 key deposit is also taken, but again refundable. Payment may be made by 'PayPal', but will be subject to an extra 4% handling fee. Long let discounts and late booking discounts may be available, please enquire for details. 'Welcome-Packs' are available on request (milk, bread, ham, eggs, butter and vino).

‘Thank you for allowing us to share your lovely home. We have travelled extensively over the years and this has been our first holiday experience spent in a villa. We have enjoyed every minute of the tranquillity, the pool, the spectacular position and the beautiful sunset. It has surpassed all our expectations. ‘Have had a super break. The villa views are stunning, especially the sun setting in the evening. Lisa and Hans were really helpful. Torre-del-Mar has a great market on a Thursday till 2pm. Well worth a visit for gifts. Enjoyed the scenery on the coastal road to Granada. Lovely quiet beach cove. Would welcome a return’ - Mr. and Mrs R West Yorkshire
