Masia Alzineta or ‘Alzineta Farmhouse’ is nestled within a small more modern development, which grew up on land once belonging to the farm. This 500yr old house is full of rustic charm yet benefits from modern comforts. The house is set within large gardens and has a huge, totally secluded, 250m2 walled patio with 6mx3m solar heated pool with Jacuzzi attached. There’s a giant trampoline with safety net in the garden and table football in the patio. 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles, a twin with 2 double beds & a single with bunkbeds, a large family bath/shower room, grnd flr shower room, 2 living rooms, dining hall, kitchen and utility room, there is very spacious accommodation for 8 people. The development has a small shop for your essentials and is just 1km from the village of Rodonya with its famous brasserie restaurant, pharmacy, tobacconist, petrol station and excellent riding stables. The surrounding countryside is a mixture of rolling hills, vineyards and more distant mountains.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. All prices are for exclusive use of the farmhouse, patio, pool and garden for 1 week. Discounts are available for bookings of 2 weeks or more (starting at 5%). Late booking discounts up to 30%.
Changeover day
Minimum booking period is 3 nights. There is no preferred changeover day. Arrival is after 4pm, although a luggage drop can be arranged earlier and departure is by 11am.

Notes on accommodation
Masia Alzineta is furnished as a comfortable home rather than a holiday let. The farmhouse is very good at regulating its temperature due to its thick stone walls but has room fans for extra comfort. Entrance to the house is within the patio which has the pool, so young children need to be supervised. There is full central heating.

Accessibility
For somebody with limited mobility there is a downstairs shower room and the jacuzzi steps make it easier to get into the pool. However it is some distance across the patio from the driveway and there are single or two steps into and out of several of the ground floor rooms and the upstairs bathroom. There is no handrail on the stairs. The different levels in this house make it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is a huge, 250m2, south facing, totally private walled patio with solar heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi, table football, stone table and benches to seat everybody, large gas BBQ and patio furniture for lounging. All this is set within a very large, fully fenced garden with trampoline with safety net. There are mature almond trees and a small olive grove with a southwest facing terrace, overlooking the olives and enjoying beautiful sunsets over the surrounding hills. There are distant sea views from the 1st floor and extensive views of surrounding countryside.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful Costa Dorada (Gold Coast) is only 16km away and boasts a mix of lively family beaches, small coves, water sports, marinas, the port of Tarragona and if you want seclusion then you can walk down the cliffs to Waikiki beach where nudism is accepted.
Golf
Masia Alzineta is 20 mins drive from the fabulous Costa Dorada Tarragona Golf Course with daily/weekly green fees. It's best to book in advance, they speak English. Travel
Reus airport is 25km and Barcelona airport only 1 hour and 10 minutes away, as the farmhouse is just 4km from the AP2 motorway (Junction 11). A car is needed to appreciate the area and enjoy all that it has to offer.
Distances
Local shops, bar and brasserie restaurant are just minutes from the house. Rodonya, just 1km, has lovely Riding Stables. There are beaches, a water and safari park and fabulous golf course within 20 mins drive. A little further afield, 45 mins drive, is PortAventura, the Universal Studio Theme Park and their Water Park, Costa Carribe. There are a wealth of historic churches, monasteries, castles and wineries in the area and the Roman city of Tarragon. This is great country for cycling & walking.
Further details
There are many other villages, restaurants, bars and shops within 10 mins, with street markets, supermarkets and shops of all kinds. There is an Accident and Emergency department at the hospital in Valls, just 15 minutes away, a pharmacy in Rodonya, 1km and supermarket, petrol station and bank.

A 25% deposit will be taken at the time of booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Booking within 8 weeks of arrival will be for the full amount.
