Hillside house with stunning sea views from all rooms, just outside the magical town of Begur in Catalan Spain. The spacious family home is available to rent year round. Situated in a quiet, secluded neighbourhood with scattered luxury villas on a forested hill. No high-rise hotels nearby. Begur, a beautifully preserved mediaeval town is 90 minutes north of Barcelona, and 45 minutes from Gerona, in the unspoilt portion of the Catalan coast. The three-story house sleeps six comfortably, and has two balconies and two sunny patios. The recently landscaped garden includes an above ground pool and jacuzzi (particularly welcome during off season lets). Sea views from the balconies are superb. Five secluded beaches are accessible by car, with the closest five minutes away. Five excellent golf courses nearby, playable all year round. Begur has fantastic restaurants and boutiques along its narrow, ancient streets. Overlooking the town is a charming castle which offers stunning views.

Coast/Beach
Many, many lovely coves for swimming and relaxing. Most with a handful of restaurants that offer authentic Spanish cuisine. Not a chip shop in sight! Five minutes drive to several beaches nearby, including Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Fornells and Aiguablava.
Golf
Lots of golf nearby.
Skiing
Ski the Pyrenees - just 2 hours to closest resort.
Travel
Girona, Spain is closest airport, just 45km to house. Fly cheap on Ryanair from most UK airports. Also EasyJet and Globespan to Barcelona. Barcelona airport is a 90 mins - 2 hour drive from the house. From USA, Continental just launched direct flights from Newark, NJ to Barcelona.
Distances
One mile drive to centre of Begur. Other villages and towns like medieval Pals are only a l0 min drive. Day trips to Salvador Dali's home and museum are well worth the l hour drive to Figueres. Further out on the coast, visit his summer home in Cadequez, a beautiful little vishing village. Girona is a lovely medieval, canalled city with a stunning cathedral. Walk the town walls and see the university. Great shopping, restaurants, and easy parking that is free!
