Casita Buena Vista is set in a picturesque rural lane in the Alpujarran village of Bubión. The property and village offer spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada, the Alpujarras and the Mediterranean Sea. The casita is of traditional construction with terracotta tiled floors, chestnut beamed ceilings and a large wood burning fireplace. This studio apartment is comfortably furnished and has a double bed in a sleeping alcove and double sofa bed and dining table in the lounge area. Bathroom towels, bed linen an electric oil radiator, fan, hairdryer and radio are provided. There is also a washing machine, clothes drying rack and ironing facilities. Two French doors lead out onto the partially covered west-facing balcony, offering inspirational views of the village and mountains beyond.

The beaches of Motril, Almuñecar and Salobreña on the Costa Tropical are a one hour drive away.

Special interest holidays
The main attraction of the region is its inspirational beauty, peace and tranquility. It is situated on the edge of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and UNESCO Biosphere reserve, so is a spectacular hiking destination. There are walking routes sign posted from the villages. Routes range from short strolls to full-day hikes and two long distance routes. Organised tours are available as well as other activities like horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, bird-watching and paragliding. We are also within 1½ hour drive of the Sierra Nevada ski area.

Travel
Granada airport is closest (approx 1½ hour) with daily flights from Gatwick, Stansted and Liverpool. The alternatives are either Almería or Malaga (approx 2½ hours). A daily bus is available from Granada to Bubión, but car hire is highly recommended as schedules are infrequent and do not fit in well with flight times.

Distances
The two other white Moorish villages of Pampaneira to the south and Capileira to the north are both 2km away and easy to walk to. The larger village of Orgiva is 15km down the mountain in the valley. Granada and the awe-inspiring Alhambra palace are a 1 hour and 15 minutes drive away.
