The house is ideal for two families sharing, there is space for everyone to be together; but also space for privacy. There are magnificent views all around the house. The west facing views of distant hills offer spectacular sunsets. The house is perfect for a 'get-away-from-it-all' holiday. The house is divided into two areas: the North House and South House. The main living space in the North House is very large: it is L-shaped, with a spacious sitting room and kitchen that seats 12 people. On one side it opens out into a beautiful, walled courtyard garden, and on the other to the west facing terrace. The South House has 3 bedrooms and its own kitchen and sitting room. The pool is circular and 6mtrs in diameter. Sunloungers with mattresses, towels and beach towels are provided. The house was owned by the writer Miranda Innes, whose successful book 'getting to Manaña' describes the restoration of the house and life in the area. Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Prices are based on 4 people sharing - extra people charged at £55 per person per week, except July - August which is charged at a fixed price.
Changeover day
Usually changeover day is Saturday, but we are happy to be flexible, when possible.
| Bedrooms: | 2 bedrooms with double beds. 3 bedrooms with beds that can be arranged as doubles or twins. 1 bedroom with bunk beds. There is one large bedroom in the North House and two bedrooms that lead off the courtyard garden. The South House has 3 bedrooms. |
| Bathrooms: | South House - Large shower room with basin, WC and bidet. South House - WC. North House - Large shower room with basin, WC and bidet. |
| Kitchen: | There are two well equipped kitchens including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, food processor, citrus juicer, and lots of gadgets for the keen cook. There are plenty of plates, dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. |
| Utility Room: | There are two washing machines. |
| Living Rooms: | The North House sitting room is 10m long, with three sofas. It is airy and cool with high, beamed ceilings and an open fireplace. The South House sitting room is 4m x 3m with fantastic west facing views. It has a large sofa, chairs and a woodburner. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided. Bed linen and towels are changed once a week. Cleaning and babysitting can be arranged for an extra charge. |

Outside
The heated swimming pool is circular and about 10 feet in diameter.
The house is set in 6 acres of it's own land. There is a beautiful, walled courtyard garden, with lemon, peach and cherry trees; lavender, jasmine and roses. It has a fountain and a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. There are terraces and patios all around the house, the covered west facing and south facing patios are both lovely for outside dining.
There are teak dining tables and chairs for outside use, and 10 sunloungers with mattresses.
There are stone seats around the pool and in the garden.
A Weber BBQ is provided.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa del Sol can be reached within 45 minutes to one hour.
Golf
The new Antequera golf course is 20 minutes from the house. See golfantequera.com.
Skiing
The Sol y Nieve ski resort in the Sierra Nevada mountains is 2 1/2 hours drive from the house. There is an excellent, modern, lift network, good access, skiing to 3000 metres and vertical descents of 1000 metres. Open from Christmas to the end of April.
Travel
The house is one hour from Malaga airport and one and a half hours from Granada airport. Car hire is necessary.
Distances
Pastelero is the nearest hamlet, 5 minutes drive (half an hour+ walking) and has two good restaurants.
Villanueva de la Concepcion and Almogia are small white towns, both 15 minutes drive away.
Antequera is a historic, bustling market town and takes 25 minutes by car. Malaga town is 40 minutes drive and Seville, Cordoba and Granada can be reached within two hours.
Further details
Villanueva de la Concepcion has several small supermarkets, Tapas bars, a cafe, two fishmongers, a bank and a market on Monday.
Almogia also has local shops, restaurants including a pizzaria, and a market on Tuesday.
Tuesday is also market day in Antequera. It is a pretty town, overlooked by a Moorish castle and is a good place to shop.
