Nerja town is 10 minutes walk. Accommodation includes 2 bedrooms, a large sitting/dining room with 2 sofas and large sofabed, a newly fitted kitchen, bathroom, and a separate WC. On second floor with lift. Parking outside. Helpful English agent nearby. He can arrange taxis to and from airport, and welcome packs, for you. Reasonable rates. Local golf course approx 6 miles.

Coast/Beach
The nearby Burriana beach is the largest and nicest of the Nerja beaches and is about 5 minutes walk away. Surrounded by cliffs, it is overlooked by a Parador (the chain of national hotels located at places of interest or scenic beauty). A kilometre long, the beach is a mixture of shingle and sand, offering a choice of safe paddling, swimming and snorkelling. There are a variety of recreations such as waterskiing, paragliding and windsurfing. At the rear of the beach there are beach bars.

Local golf course approx 6 miles.
Skiing
Ski resorts In Sierra Nevada/Grenada about an hour's drive from Nerja.
Travel
Malaga Airport is approx 60 kilometers away (about an hour's drive on the motorway).

Further details
Nerja town still retains authentic charm of Andalucia with narrow winding streets leading to palm-lined balcony of Europe. Many good local supermarkets (some will deliver) and restaurants, and daily fish and veg market.

About the owner
I live in England, but now that I am retired, spend as much in Nerja as possible. My mother bought the apartment new about 25 years ago when she was suddenly widowed. My parents had lived abroad and she wanted to spend the rest of her days somewhere a bit warmer than England. She spent 3 months touring Europe by bus in order to decide where she would settle before discovering and loving Nerja!
Now my 3 children and 4 grandchildren also love Nerja and go down there often as well and there are attractions for all ages.
I try to keep rents low. I am not in the travel trade but just trying to cover some of the overheads of keeping a flat in Spain. Prices are all inclusive but special terms can be arranged for long lets. There is a friendly English agent nearby.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Nerja has one of the best all year round climates on the Costa del Sol, lying in a fertile plain between the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Despite inevitable development, Nerja has managed to preserve its ancient centre and its character of a small Andalusian fishing town. Narrow winding streets lead to the palm-lined Balcony of Europe, from which there are lovely panoramic views of the Mediterranean, and a variety of entertainments laid on. The town itself is lively, with a very international atmosphere and many attractive beaches.
Unique benefits of the property
The town itself is 5-10 minutes walk away, so a car is not necessary. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the Burriana Beach (which we think is the nicest in Nerja). A kilometre long, the beach is a mixture of shingle and sand, and offering a choice of paddling, swimming and snorkeling, as well as recreations such as pedaloes, water-skiing, para-gliding etc. At the rear of the beach there are beach-bars and restaurants, that allow you to dine and drink without changing from swimwear, and while your children continue to play in the sand. Daily fresh seafood, and an paella made over an enormous barbecue on the beach, are on offer in the restaurants, and there are free showers, toilets and changing facilities. Shelters and beach-beds can be hired.
