This property was finished in 2006 and designed as our second home, hence the contents are of a higher standard than those normally found in rental properties. For example, the pool is 11x5m with Roman steps at one end. Outdoors is a very large terrace which surrounds the pool, 6 sun loungers are supplied, and there is a covered terrace for those hot days, as this property enjoys the sun all day long. There is a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking. The villa is all on one level, so no steps to worry about,ideal for wheelchairs. inside is open-plan, so you can be in the kitchen and not lose out on conversation in the living room! From the kitchen/living areas you can see the terrace/pool and the wonderful views. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, and have ceiling/ electric fans. This villa has been constructed with privacy in mind, within its own grounds, it has a private driveway, and electric gates.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds for 6 guest / 3 bedrooms. Additional cost £125 for 4th bedroom (8 guests). Air-conditioning at extra cost of £45/week. Low season Winter rates attract an extra cost of €0.10/kw for electricity.

Bath towels / linen provided, please supply your own beach/pool towels. Villa is cleaned prior to your arrival, additional cleaning can be arranged if required, at a small cost.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms are air-conditioned (extra cost of £45/week) but we do also supply electric fans. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Winter months attract a charge of €0.20 /Kw for electricity.

Suitable for elderly, only 1 step at front door and one step on the terrace, all rooms on one level.

Broadband connection is also supplied (bring laptop).

Accessibility
Villa is all open plan and on one level. There is one small step down to the pool terrace. Since construction, we have had several clients with mobility problems staying as it is one of the very few villas here with no steps.

Outside
Private pool 11 x 5 metres with roman steps at one end, Gas BBQ, large terrace surrounding the pool, covered terrace with outdoor dining table and 6 chairs.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Salobrena, 10 mins drive, alternatively, the more cosmopolitan beach/town of Almunecar is 15 mins away. Further small secluded beaches are dotted along the coastline.

Golf
Los Moriscos Golf club is 15 minutes away.
Granada course is 45 mins away.
La Baviera course is 45 mins away.
Various other courses around Malaga 90 mins away.

Skiing
The Ski resort of the Sierra Nevadas is only 70 mins away, suitable for beginners or experienced skiiers. Tuition is available for beginners in skiing and boarding. Ski hire at the resort or in Almunecar (15 mins from Salobrena).

Travel
Use of car is essential in order to take full advantage of the area.
Granada airport - 45 mins.
Malaga airport - 1 hr, 10 mins.
Almeria airport - 1 hr, 30 mins.
Madrid - 4 hr, 30 mins.

Distances
Salobrena is only 10 mins away with many small bars/restaurants, Almunecar is larger with more tourists, 15 mins away with bars/restaurants, hotels, weekly street market, Nerja, with its famous underground caves is 30 mins away, the town has a large English community, plus a Donkey sanctuary which kids love to visit as they can feed/groom the animals. Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace is 1 hour drive with spectacular en route views.

Further details
Within the town of Salobrena, there are many shops, several supermarkets and banks. The larger town of Motril, with its own Port is 15 mins away where there is a large Hypermarket which stocks everything you need.

Booking notes
25% deposit at time of booking, balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival at the villa. Security deposit of £250 which is refunded subject to there being no breakages/damage.

About the owner
Anette and myself have rented our Villas out in Salobrena for the last 7 years. We also own our own transport company that specialises in transporting items for the British community living in Spain and Portugal. We spend as much time as we can in Salobrena as we have met so many nice people there, but unfortunately our visits are limited to School holidays

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our first villa (not the one shown) 7 years ago, as we loved the area. Where else can you go and ski in the morning, and lay in the sun by the pool in the afternoon. It really is a very special area. We love the fact that there are not too many British people holidaying in Salobrena, its a favourite spot for the Spanish with lots of small bars and restaurants to choose from

Unique benefits of the property
The Villa is very private, extremely quiet, it is set back from the road, which is not very busy anyway. The views are fantastic, probably the best selling point. It is furnished to a higher standard than typical rental properties, as we did once think of living there full time
