This delightful, restored, 18th century Andalucian farmhouse (cortijo) sleeps up to 12 people. The Cortijos are decorated in colourful Moorish style. All ceilings are vaulted with exposed timber beams. There is a wonderful rustic outdoor covered dining area which has wonderful views. There is also a rear patio with BBQ and a traditional wood fired pizza oven. The private pool has underwater lighting and open air shower. There is an exotic walled garden planted with fig citrus and palms which also has a delightful Moorish style ornamental garden fish pond edged with local marble. Cortijo Arroyo Medina has large and private gardens ensuring a high degree of privacy. The property is well placed for exploring the nearby coast (45 minutes away) and the towns and countryside of the beautiful Los Velez area of Andalucia.

Changeover day
Changeover day by arrangement. Arrival at the villas after 3pm and departure by 10am to allow for cleaning.

Coast/Beach
45 minute drive to various sandy beaches. 60 minutes to a stunning inland lake (Negratin) with beaches, lakeside restaurants, etc. 25 mins to inland thermal lagoon with year round warm water for swimming and relaxation plus further lakeside restaurants.
Travel
Car hire is essential. Almeria airport, 1 hour's drive.
Granada airport, 1 & 1/2 hour's drive. Murcia airport, 1 & 1/2 hour's drive. Alicante airport, 2 hours.
Distances
15 minutes drive to local village of Oria. 20 minutes to Albox. 30 minute drive to Velez Rubio.
Further details
Oria has various restaurants, bars, small sunday market shops, banks and a 24-hour medical centre.
