Recently refurnished under new ownership. This picturesque villa Casita is located in the pretty hamlet of Tijola, 5km from Orgiva. It is set in beautiful grounds with lemon trees, tropical plants and flowers with breathtaking views of the hills and valleys of the surrounding area. Within the grounds there is a family sized swimming pool with sun loungers and outside shower. In close proximity to this beautiful spot there are supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks (with ATM's) and shops - so everything is close to hand. On Thursdays there is a bustling street market in Orgiva town, a fantastic scene for any visitor. An hours drive through stunning scenery will take you to Sierra Nevada ski resorts, and Granada and the Alhambra Palace are only 45 mins away. For all sun worshippers the beaches of the Costa Tropical can be reached in just 35 mins. A cozy romantic Winter holiday or a relaxing hot Summer holiday can both be enjoyed in this exquistite Spanish Farmhouse location.

Changeover day
Generally bookings will be Saturday to Saturday, and we would ask that the apartment is vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Arrival time is any time after 2.00pm.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are at Motril, Motril's coastal strip has two beaches Playa Granada and Playa Poniente, and at the old Arab fortress town of Salobreña, a half hour drive through fabulous scenery to the south. Here you can eat in the excellent fish restaurants and visit the castle La Herradura. Below Salobreña is a long stretch of beach with a wide promenade and a good selection of bars and restaurants.
Golf
On the coast there is a golf course at Motril (approx 35 mins drive). A fantastic new golf course has opened in Otura (18 holes) only 30 minutes drive.
Skiing
Skiing, Sierra Nevada - 1 hour drive from house
The ski resort of Sierra Nevada offers its visitors a wide range of facilities and a ski terrain to suit skiers & boarders of all standards. Sierra Nevada, which means "Snowy Mountain Range", includes some of the highest peaks in Europe; the ski terrain is prominently peaked by the jagged Veleta at 3398m. The ski season is December - April. All clothing and equipment is available for hire.

Travel
Granada is the closest airport being just 45 minutes from Orgiva and Malaga airport is just a 2 hour drive.
A car is essential, but beware of the breathtaking scenery, keep your eyes on the road. There are plenty of stop points where you can pull over and gaze in safety.
Distances
Malaga is approximately 2 hours away. The drive from either Malaga or Granada to Orgiva is spectacular and straightforward.
Further details
There is wonderful countryside for walking, horse-riding, mountain biking, paragliding, birdwatching and 'doing nothing'. There is a waterpark at Almunecar and the Alhambra Palace in Granada, with its breathtakingly beautiful gardens, is 1 of the great wonders of the world. Reflexology and massage is available.
